We have a doctor appt tomorrow to see if LO has pink eye. The blocked tear duct has gotten progressively worse now her eyes are an irritated runny mess. Poor baby! On a positive note, she slept 5 hrs in her brand new RnP!
I think DD has a blocked tear duct too. She has yellow crusties in her left eye after she sleeps. Her 1 month check up is tomorrow so we'll see what the ped says.
Feeding #2 at 1:30. She last ate about 10:30 so there was a 3 hour stretch. Too bad she wasn't asleep that whole time. DH took over for a little bit to walk her around to sleep. I'm still holding out for at least one stretch of decent sleep tonight!
DD just woke up to eat; she was asleep for two hours, which is the longest she has slept in two days. She has been fussy and grumpy since yesterday. I got all of three hours sleep last night and it doesn't look like I will get much tonight either.
Nothing makes her happy, and it is super frustrating.
I hope you get some rest tonight. Not sure how you are making it. Sorry!
Thank you!
I also hate pumping. Lol. The strongest moms out there, IMO, are exclusive pumpers. Way tougher then med free childbirth.

Up for feeding number two and ds is being fussy. Please god ds dont keep me up all night. I get my nephews earlier tomorrow and i dont want to have to stream line caffiene before noon.
Btw everyone db totally called and sang soft kitty to me. This is why hes the best. He does cute things like this just to make me happy.
Thank god for DB. LO went down at 9 and woke up at 2 and was wide awake after we were done nursing. Now he's walking around the house with her singing twinkle twinkle little star until she falls back asleep.
LO has been sleepin a lot better! Tonight from 9 ish til 230. Still feeding well 30 mins later. Starting to enjoy being a mom. Maybe we WILL end up with a second .
Up for feeding...so lmuch for hoping on a 3 and 4 hour stretch tonight. DH is laying beside me and with every snore I fight the urge to throat punch him. It's not like he could feed her, but the snoring it pissing me off
I have to deal with snoring often after I put lo down & climb back into bed. grr.
First feeding. Lo slept from 4.5 hrs. Hope he does it again!
We had gone to my ILs for dinner tonight so we fed him at 9 before we left. We then have him a midnight bottle before going to bed. He is up above his birth weight (by 2oz!) so the ped gave us the all clear to let him go 4 hours at night. He made it almost 3... I am hoping he's down for at least another 3 because DH said he'd take that one. I'm pumping now so I'm hoping to be able to sleep til 8 but that might be wishful thinking.
DS was Mr Crankipants tonight. He would scream until we picked him up. I think he just needed extra love because he wasn't hungry or wet. All this on top of his diapers leaking did not make for a fun night!
Feeding #2. Dh was home tonight so he did the first feeding and I am sitting here with lo on my chest. I'm nervous that she'll wake up when I swaddle her and put her back in the pnp.

We have an eye appointment in the morning too! I've noticed his eye is crusty and glossy or leaking with a light yellowish liquid. I feel so bad for him. He doesn't seem to be in pain and his eye isn't pink but that's what they think it might be. Hope your LO feels better soon!
Ugh, LO is wide awake. Fed her for 50 some minutes and she was almost out. Then she spit up a few times, pooped a few times, which led to her being wide awake now. Put her in her rocker and hoping that'll lull her to sleep. Please, please, please! [-O<

Agreed went to a bf support group today and there were three mothers who exclusive pump. There children won't latch. The lc was working with them on trying to latch it was awful so sad. In so thankful my lo is a trooper.

LO is driving me nuts today! He fought every nap even though he was tired. When he finally fell asleep it only lasted about 45 mins.. So I was expecting a decent night of sleep- no such luck. He's grumpy and wide awake.
Thunderstorm here too @TurtleMomma. I love sleeping with the window open during storms so I can hear them but I didn't tonight for fear of waking LO.
Just finished feeding number 1 and LO fell asleep on me while I was burping her. On another note, I love that she is consistently smiling at me now, makes my day
Feeding #1 here. LO was so horribly fussy today, and would only calm down or sleep while on the boob. I was exhausted. Thank goodness she slept tonight!
LO has been sleeping 7 hours a night, which is great when she goes to sleep between 9 and midnight. Last night she went to sleep at 6 so here I am at almost 3 waiting for her to go back to sleep while H snores next to me smelling of Korean BBQ. He complained that she was already in bed when he got home but her went out with coworkers after work so I don't give a shit that he missed spending time with her. I was home alone with her all day without any help.
LO has been sleepin a lot better! Tonight from 9 ish til 230. Still feeding well 30 mins later. Starting to enjoy being a mom. Maybe we WILL end up with a second .
Yay! DH and I have been discussing joining team one and done as well, I blame sleep deprivation.
Feeding my little guy again. Got 2 hours of sleep this time:

Feeding #2. Hope it goes better than #1. LO was wide awake and fussy for over 2 hours for feeding #1. DH would occasionally roll over and make comments then roll back over and fall asleep. Eventually LO wanted to eat again and I gladly gave her the boob so she'd calm down. DH said he didn't think she could be hungry. I said he was welcome to take her anytime to see if he could get her to go back to sleep!
Interesting night we all had over here. The boys had their 2 mo shots, which stressed me out for no good reason. Shots were at 1pm. My littlest one started in w the screaming (not the I'm fussy variety, but the full on I'm in pain kind) around 430 and didnt stop until 630 when he and his brother passed out nursing.
I spent from 500-630 with both of them awkwardly on my chest since neither wanted to put down and I was by myself.
They then slept from 630p-130a. I so needed the break. I sat and ate dinner without wearing a baby and had a conversation w my 3yo that wasn't punctuated by fussing babies. I then passed out around 930p only to wake up around 1am freaking out that they babies were still asleep.
Of course after sleeping tht long, my boobs were completely put of control. I pumped and fed and then the babies were awake. I went back to sleep around 3am, but my poor H stayed up trying to get everyone back to sleep.
So here we are at 630a. The big one will be up soon so I'll help get everyone out the door and then, cross my fingers, the babies sleep at the same time, and I'll get a little nap in.

I swear you must be spying on us... DH loves to either just stare at me while dealing with a fussy LO in the middle of the night...or offer opinions/comments. But does his head even move from his pillow? No. He's in for a rude awakening when I'm back to work in 3 weeks.
Spent the last week feeding LO every 2 hrs in order to get him back to his birth weight. Last night we were both exhausted so I left him sleep a good 3 and 4 hour stretch. This morning I woke up feeling guilty for not feeding him, so I took him to the scale to see the damage.. GUESS WHO'S AT THEIR BIRTH WEIGHT FINALLY?!? Sooo excited!
After I finished feeding LO and put her down in her PNP next to our bed, I went to the bathroom real quick. I had left the TV on and apparently there was a crying baby on the show, so DH heard it and half asleep jumped out of bed to go help LO, only to find her totally asleep. When I came back he was so confused. Haha!

Last night was a good night. Although we got the ok to let DS go 4 hours at night he missed the memo and woke up just under 3 hours all night. But we had gone to bed after feeding #1 and for #2 DH got up and changed his diaper before I fed him and pumped, so for #3 I changed him then DH fed him. He's still sleeping now though I hear him fussing (maybe because the landscapers are here and cutting our grass) I'm pumping so I'll feed him when I'm done. I decided to stretch out my overnight pumping a so I can get more sleep.
