Good evening mamas.
Put down LO at 9 and here we are at 10:30 awake and eating. What happened to the initial 4 hour stretch?! She was so crabby and fussy today and I was hoping that would mean a good night sleep from her so I hope this isn't foreshadowing anything. I'm freaking exhausted.
Re: Night Crew Check In
Hes a dork but i love him
Today I cried. DS is dealing with gas and a possible growth spurt. He's been fussy, irritable, tired (but won't sleep), and constantly nursing all day. And then we went out to dinner with the IL's, against my will (thanks, dh for the Jewish guilt trip he laid on me today), and DS spent the entire dinner latching, unlatching, or crying hysterically under my nursing cover at the table. I was livid since I knew that would happen, and dh didn't believe me. Thankfully, DS is asleep on my chest, and I'm hoping we both get some rest tonight. Mommy is beat.
Night before last she did a 6 hour stretch and it was amazing. Last night not so much. Up every 2-3 hours. She was awake for a good deal today so I'm hoping for another long stretch tonight! FX!
Nothing makes her happy, and it is super frustrating.

When he's awake at night he's so sweet. He just looks at me all calm and bright eyed. No fussing. Just happy to be there. Too bad I'm bleary eyed and disoriented. But I really try to enjoy those times.
I love the Big Bang theory. Sometimes I will sing soft kitty to DS.
The good news out of this: laundry is getting done! :-)

I was looking at the MyFitnessPal ap, and I am starting to wonder if DD has a sensitivity to peanuts. I had a peanut carmel apple about four hours before she started fussing last night, and a pbj sandwich about five days ago when she had her other super fussy night.
Or I am delirious and crazy.
Anyone have a baby with peanut sensitivity?

https://kellymom.com/bf/concerns/mother/mastitis/
It could be a clogged duct. I had one of those last week and it was extremely painful (throbbing, even). I didnt have redness, swelling, streaks, pus, etc. The treatment for a clogged duct is similar to mastitis, except mastitis requires antibiotics: rest, massage, warm compresses and complete emptying (pumping and nursing ever 2 hour or so). It hurts terribly but it gets better in a day or so.
Hopefully it doesnt turn into mastitis
Is he hungry?
Does his diaper need changing?
Does he have gas?
If all else fails maybe your lo just needs to snuggled. Dont forget its okay to walk away for five ten minutes if your feeling over whelmed and need a break.
I have been looking into gas drops. I am so nervous to give them to her. I don't want to ruin her for life!

I hope you get some rest tonight. Not sure how you are making it. Sorry!
