I haven't made dinner for my boyfriend in over a week because I can't stand to look at meat. Also, my sister brought me out for my birthday dinner to an amazing Italian restaurant. By the time my food arrived, I was too nauseated to eat it. at least I could take it home.
I'm in full on maternity clothing now. My confession? I'm seriously thinking about never wearing anything other than maternity jeans ever again. I mean, I can clear out a buffet and still fit in these suckers, yet they fit everywhere else just as well as my regular jeans do. These will be my Thanksgiving and Christmas jeans forever and ever.
Also, DH and I are trying out a new sushi joint today. I fully intend to eat the raw stuff.
Maternity jeans are awesome. If they didn't slide off my ass, I would probably wear them all the time too. Oh, I have one even better.. I'm probably going to invest in some pregnancy jeggings! *gasp!* I have a small butt and skinny legs so they'll probably fit me better than my pregnancy jeans did so I have no shame.
This ain't no lie! Maternity jeans were HELL for me last time. They didn't fit for crap and I have a very average frame (5'5" and normal weight). The only pair that fit were a borrowed pair for Paige Denim maternity jeans that cost my friend over $125!
I'm living in jeggings and black leggings with tunics this winter.
See, I was expecting to have a hard time with the jeans, too. I didn't need them with DD because I only wore maxi dresses, shorts, and tanks with her, so I was dreading shopping based on what everyone else said. But the Motherhood jeans seem to fit me fine so far...
Last week, I bought DD a slide that is supposed to go outdoors but sits in our entryway with the slide portion sliding into our bedroom. This is not a small slide - it's a good 4.5 feet tall. But! I can lay in my bed and watch her slide over and over again to her heart's content while I say "wheeeeeee" ever so often and try not to puke on anything.
@KNSATX I'll be doing the neon vibe 5k tomorrow, if that's the same one you're referring to. I was scared with the neon paint they throw out as you run, but I inquired about it's safety for pregnant women and it was all good. Sorry you can't run it because of restrictions.

They are awesome until you are hugely pregnant. Then all clothes suck
Yes. I can get on board with that. I hated all clothes during the 3rd tri with DD.
I'm excited for the cosleeping fight we will eventually have. On my last bmb one of the girls told me that she hoped I could live with myself when my baby dies. I'm ready so school bitches on what sudden infant death syndrome ACTUALLY is.

Sounds similar, are you in San Antonio? I know there are a bunch of variations all over. At this one the color packets are colored corn starch, not paint. I'm sure it's safe as long as you don't inhale a bunch. Good luck at your event!
ACS? I haven't heard of that before. I usually just try to occupy myself but it has been almost 3 weeks so I'm beyond ready to have him back and he isn't coming back until next friday. *sigh*
ACS= Army Community Service. They conduct the Army Family Team Building (AFTB) courses and a few others like briefer/instructor certifications. It's all free. Here's the website for Bragg: https://www.fortbraggmwr.com/acs/acs-classes/.
I feel like a complete newb in the army wife game. I haven't talked to DH in 14 days (which is the longest we've ever gone.. even while he was deployed) and I feel so desperate to hear his voice. I think I may cry more when he comes home this time more than I did when he came home from deployment and he's only at training right now.
My mom was an army wife for 22 years, back when they didn't have the technology we have now so I know she has been through this a lot more than I have and she did just fine. I have another friend that is also a new army wife and her reply was "It's only 11 days." Um, excuse me but I miss my husband!!
You get to miss him, whether or not other military wives have been there/done that.
Re: feeling like a newb- have you taken the AFTB classes through ACS? I took them when I first got married and found them very helpful. Last year I started teaching them at Ft Drum. Usually ACS will offer child care for the classes. Hang in there. It doesn't necessarily get easier, but there's nothing better than loving a soldier.
I agree -- it's SO hard, no matter how long they're gone. My DH left for Afghanistan when I was 6 mths pregnant w/ my first, so of course he missed the birth and the first few months (the hardest time)! Is your DH training for a deployment? Skype came in very helpful for us. Hang in there!
I am sorta happy that my DH is back to working his evening shifts and he's only home two nights of the week. It means I get the tv to myself so I can watch my horrible reality tv that I enjoy so much and no judgement on what I'm eating for dinner...

Yes, basically. They can deploy at any time and have to leave within an hour if they do get deployed. Very scary. Hopefully it doesn't come to that but that's basically what they're training for. I'm used to the distance (we had a long distance relationship for a year), I just hate it when I can't actually talk to him. It makes it so much harder.
I just found out a kid in DD's preschool class is allergic to peanuts, and I am irrationally annoyed. Of course I feel for the child and his/her family, and I know it could just as easily be my kid, but...
This morning I ate two Kolaches and felt totally ashamed. But then someone had to run by my favorite greek restaurant, so of course I have to get delicious but unhealthful food from there. I WAS going to do Pei Wei tonight but I don't know now. I feel like I blew the whole day, but I know I'm not going to want to cook.

PEANUT BUTTER IS SO DAMN EASY TO PACK FOR LUNCH.
Get used to it! Most elem schools are now completely nut-free.

Yep, I realize this. Doesn't make it any less annoying.
I ate homemade cheese fries for dinner the last 2 nights.
I think it's hilarious that this BMB is such a clusterf*ck.
We're on a roll aren't we....and no one has called out the DD that's happened today. I'm nervous to draw attention to it by making a new thread since it'll bring out even more drama for sure (so instead I'll announce it here where everyone can see it anyway)

I've been on the boards for 4 years. Basically everything that was posted here has been rehashed 1000 times already, I've seen someone impersonating another person, one person lying about her children, a girl pretending to be a man who lost twins, countless pregnancies, m/c, infant losses etc. faked. this place is nuts. And highly entertaining.

Ooohhh yeah. I remember in the april 2012 boards we had a crazy 14 year old that used pictures of other users babies and u\s pictures and went to other sites and created fb pages with them. We got to where we water marked all our pictures cause of her.

Ooooooo I'll always bite...who DD'd?!
There was a thread this morning titled "My own UO" or something to that effect. Someone who didn't like the drama of yesterday's UO (which is understandable) and wanted to start a Thursday thread that was a little happier...I looked for it a second ago and I couldn't find it. I forget the person though because I don't "know" everyone here yet....

Hilarious, maybe but still very annoying.
Knowing when to walk away/ignore ppl helps with the annoyance. It's *just * the Internet.
Yeah, I realize that. I'm a little surprised this thread hasn't gone all crazy yet but then again, there are other threads floating around doing it for us lol
I've been sweetly pushing my husband to go out at night to go climbing, or to the gym, or even the driving range all under the guise that im not good company and will only go to bed early and that he needs to have fun. When in actuality i want him to leave so i can make poor eating decisions and watch trashy television with out him being all...

DD's preschool is peanut free but not nut free - so we do almond butter. She now loves it as much as PB. Some kids like sun butter, DD didn't.
Justin's hazelnut butter is AMAZING (& better than Nutella because it's dairy free). A good alternate, perhaps? It is a lot more expensive but I love it.
My DH wants both of us to be there when we tell his family members, but I already told two of his cousins, who are my friends. He doesn't know that they know. I feel guilty, but it is hard to keep secrets sometimes.
Confession: I don't want to go camping this weekend but I feel bad backing out because I organized it and asked if we could use a friends camp. It is so far away and we'll only be going for 2 days (not 3) and sleeping in a tent (I thought we had the cabin). And originally we were going to go skydiving too (obviously not doing this anymore). Part of me wants to use my pregnancy as an excuse to not go but I would feel bad because I know my friend spent a lot of time packing last night. Dammit.
That being said @WifeofaComposer we may be in Bar Harbor on Saturday, are you around? I'll fb you more info
@jap618 - We are always around, silly!! Holla at'cher gurl, and we'll hook up!

And my pants just split at work in the thigh area I'm now trying to find a way to staple them back together.... I knew it was a bad choice to wear them today since I could see them starting to really wear and get thin in an area but they were my favorite jeans and oh so comfy!

Best $84 I've ever spent.
Sorry you can't run it because of restrictions.
I also drink a coke every other day, and know I shouldn't!
I also have been doing a huge amount of eating out lately due to studying for my Series 6 and being exhausted from my first trimester!
