That's not really against the rules though. Or I thought it wasn't unless you were high risk. If it is wrong then I'm totally wrong because sometimes I have two cups a coffee a day. One in the morning & one around noon, otherwise I'm dead to the world.

  • I always heard no caffeine but then just not in excess. Now the only rule I follow is no booze until 3rd tri and then only a small glass of wine once a week at the max and normally I had a glass maybe once a month.

  • Confession: I don't want to go camping this weekend but I feel bad backing out because I organized it and asked if we could use a friends camp. It is so far away and we'll only be going for 2 days (not 3) and sleeping in a tent (I thought we had the cabin). And originally we were going to go skydiving too (obviously not doing this anymore). Part of me wants to use my pregnancy as an excuse to not go but I would feel bad because I know my friend spent a lot of time packing last night. Dammit.

That being said @WifeofaComposer we may be in Bar Harbor on Saturday, are you around? I'll fb you more info :)

  • Drinking coffee isn't a confession! I bet more of us drink it than don't. I still drink 1.5 cups of regular coffee each morning - down from 2-3.

I forget I'm pregnant most of the time.

On the mornings when I wake up early with my son (today it was 5:25am), I hit this wall around 8am and curl up on the couch while he begs me to play with him and I just mumble something about finding a toy he can use on his own before I drift off into semi-sleep. It always makes me feel kind of like a crappy mom.
I completely understand how you feel. My wall hits around lunch time and it seems like all I can do is turn on a movie and pray DD will watch it. I always feel like such a lousy mom.

Don't feel bad, exhaustion is the pits. I wish I could curl up under my desk at work and tell my boss to find someone else to do all my work ;)

This is true...I sometime forget the difference (I feel like we let them blur together on my other BMB)...

Ummmmmmm, I lied to a coworker who was riding on the train with me about running into a store at the train station to grab breakfast. The truth is, I just really really didn't want to be stuck walking and talking with him all the way to our office which is just short of a mile away from the station...I'm not a morning person!

    Better?

  • I swear we're not prudes...but my H and I didn't kiss until we got married :)

And, it took me forever to read 18 pages today from the UO yesterday. Being 7-11 hours ahead of most of you is hard to keep up on here!

I don't know how you working moms do it. I remember working for the first trimester with DD and I was always so exhausted. I would come home and go straight to bed.

Now that I think of it, I guess I am kind of working since DD has me running around all day except now I can't take naps like I used to =/

  • @JN&L I think SAHM's have it harder than working moms in some ways. I think chasing around a toddler is way more exhausting physically than what I do but at the same time, I work 10 hours a day plus drop off and pick up my kid so I'm away from home about 12 hours a day, still have to cook and clean and do laundry. I guess we both have it rough! :)

I can agree! Everyone has their own battles. Keeping up with DD is very exhausting, even when I wasn't pregnant. Sometimes I wish I can just drop her off at a daycare for a day so I can just sit around and relax for once.

So true. I find my creativity and motivation just peter off around 10 or 11am and I wish away the time until afternoon nap.

    I have another one..

I feel like a complete newb in the army wife game. I haven't talked to DH in 14 days (which is the longest we've ever gone.. even while he was deployed) and I feel so desperate to hear his voice. I think I may cry more when he comes home this time more than I did when he came home from deployment and he's only at training right now.

My mom was an army wife for 22 years, back when they didn't have the technology we have now so I know she has been through this a lot more than I have and she did just fine. I have another friend that is also a new army wife and her reply was "It's only 11 days." Um, excuse me but I miss my husband!!

I'm in full on maternity clothing now. My confession? I'm seriously thinking about never wearing anything other than maternity jeans ever again. I mean, I can clear out a buffet and still fit in these suckers, yet they fit everywhere else just as well as my regular jeans do. These will be my Thanksgiving and Christmas jeans forever and ever.

Also, DH and I are trying out a new sushi joint today. I fully intend to eat the raw stuff.
Maternity jeans are awesome. If they didn't slide off my ass, I would probably wear them all the time too. Oh, I have one even better.. I'm probably going to invest in some pregnancy jeggings! *gasp!* I have a small butt and skinny legs so they'll probably fit me better than my pregnancy jeans did so I have no shame.

  • Not pregnancy related, but I want to call some public health department or someone on my neighbors for their pool! We live in a very well-maintained development where it is almost shameful to not have your grass cut when it grows an inch too high. However, my backyard neighbor has a pool that is green/black. It is so gross, I have been keeping my French door blinds closed to not have to look at it.

    Ugh!

You get to miss him, whether or not other military wives have been there/done that. :(

Re: feeling like a newb- have you taken the AFTB classes through ACS? I took them when I first got married and found them very helpful. Last year I started teaching them at Ft Drum. Usually ACS will offer child care for the classes. Hang in there. It doesn't necessarily get easier, but there's nothing better than loving a soldier.
  • I am going to be playing softball in Sept & Oct. I will stop if I feel like it's too much. But other than that the doctor said I could keep doing whatever it is I have been doing. It's not too competitive so no chance of getting hurt.

ACS? I haven't heard of that before. I usually just try to occupy myself but it has been almost 3 weeks so I'm beyond ready to have him back and he isn't coming back until next friday. *sigh*

  • My husband and I signed up for the color vibe 5k back in June and had every intention of running it together. Now I'm on activity restrictions because of bleeding (nothing more strenuous than walking) and he had a knee injury, so we're going to pick up our packets and tshirts tonight and skip the race tomorrow. Walking and having shit thrown at us just doesn't sound fun.

This ain't no lie! Maternity jeans were HELL for me last time. They didn't fit for crap and I have a very average frame (5'5" and normal weight). The only pair that fit were a borrowed pair for Paige Denim maternity jeans that cost my friend over $125!

I'm living in jeggings and black leggings with tunics this winter.
