Finally got my toddler to sleep. I discovered after he kept waking back up and whimpering that he's cutting a tooth. I think the amber teething necklace we got is helping though, he's already had the corner pop through and normally I catch them pushing up against the gum before they actually cut through. Now, I must sleep and hope that he makes it through the night because I'm out of Tylenol for him.
Up for #1 after DD went 5 hours after her last feeding! Of course the stretch was 8 to 1 and I wish I had gone to bed that early! She just nursed almost a half hour between the 2 sides so here's hoping for another good stretch!

Aw, I hate it when that happens! I can't go to bed that early, I still have things to do!
Just finished feeding #1 after a 3 hour stretch of sleep. He is laying on me "humming" as he drifts off to sleep. Hoping he will sleep another good stretch.
Just finished feeding #2 of the night. DS is sleeping really well tonite after having an incredibly fussy day where he took no naps and was inconsolable without a boob in his mouth. Ugh. Hoping that was just a freak day.
Re: the baby baths, Wes loves to get his hair washed! He goes completely silent. Kind of like me at the hairdressers.
I'm going to have to google Miley's performance to see what all this talk is about!

For children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
I fed LO around 9:30... He ate well, I thought... But then around 10:45-11 he acted like he was starving.. And now he's asleep on me, but when I try to lay him in his bassinet he screams.. And I have to be at the ortho's office (about 2 hours away) early tomorrow morning. I really, really wish he'd let mama sleep!
Sitting here crying because DD woke up 45 minutes ago with a wet diaper and will not go back to sleep. I don't have any lights on (using my phone as a flashlight) and I've been rocking her in my arms trying to get her to go to sleep. I'm exhausted and feel like a failure because she just won't sleep for more than 2 hours at a time at night and hates sleeping in her crib. I have no idea what to do and being exhausted & clueless is driving me crazy.
Hello night crew ladies. Feed Number 2 here. I'm usually too out of it to post and bump at this hour but even after a good nursing session DD is not going to sleep anytime soon.
She has loved my right boob the past 4 weeks but all of a sudden my over active letdown has gone BUCKWILD on the right side and she's hating it. I thought it was my comfort boob. Dangit!
We're on night number....ok I've lost track of how many nights it's been since LO actually slept for longer than 45 minutes at a time. I could totally deal with that if only she would go back to sleep quickly instead of being awake for hours. She's been either awake, eating, or asleep on my boob since about 11 (3 1/2 hours). Anytime I put her down, she'll lay there for maybe 5 minutes before screaming. I tried the paci in case she just wanted to comfort suck, but no dice. I also gave her gas drops, so she's not gassy. Ugh. I really hope this phase/growth spurt/whatever this is is over soon because this momma is so very tired and grumpy.
I'm joining in on this thread with an outside baby now. Got up for feeding 2, changed the millionth poopy diaper before I started and she was still pooping. Got another diaper on her after I thought she was done but no, there's more poop. But then she passed out on my chest...so I'm sitting in the nursery with a poopy butt baby sleeping on me....hmmmm.
Up feeding lo. Tomorrow he gets a bath for the first time. I'm ready for him to scream non stop. He hates being naked, diaper changes are an task and a half
Put the baby bathtub in bathroom and turn shower on hot to heat up,steam the bathroom. I think that helps some making it nice and warm.
Semi related question.. For those that have the wipe warmer.. Worth it? LO hates diaper changes.., particularly when we wipe.. Debating getting it.. Thoughts?
@starshower22. Thanks! He actually slept for 4 hours! I just saw your other post. Hope you were able to get lo back asleep. That was me a couple days ago when I had a mini breakdown when DS was just inconsolable without a boob in his mouth and wouldn't fall asleep. I hope the rest of the night is better for you!
Good luck, ladies in labor!
DS is mid-feeding #3 and passed our mid-boob. I think I'm gonna pump and see if he wakes up at some point since lefty is leaky.

I'm sorry! You're not a failure! Have you tried an incline to sleep? Like the rock n play or swing/bouncer? My LO Won't sleep on his back at all .. At least not for long..

Love our wipe warmer! It was an awesome gift that my mom got us. DD1 never seemed to care, but DS and this baby girl hated middle of the night changes without it. When I use the warmer, I can change her without waking her all the way up.

DD is finally sleeping. She ate for most of today, and last night. Please tell me my little lady is not about to have her first growth spurt.
Knowing this is my last baby makes every moment of this a little bittersweet.
These are our last too. It hits me a little whenever I realize how fast they're growing. I know it's not hard when they start out so small, but they'll double their birthweight in the next two or three weeks. ::tears::
It's 4am here and I really really should be sleeping because I could be facing an induction at 9:30am, but I am wide awake. Haven't slept one bit. Oh well.
I should be sleeping right now and instead I'm on the bump. Lo is asleep, and I have someone coming tomorrow morning to inspect our car before we return the lease. I can't believe DS will be three weeks old on Wednesday, and dh returns to work tomorrow. I just hope I'll be able to get in a groove with DS soon since I'll be on my own until I go back to work.
Finished our first feeding. Last night this same time, it was our one and only feeding. FX it happens again!! Unfortunately I'm only half way through Batman, so I may still be up for another hour. Ha!
@elauren88. I am, too! I tried a "test run" on Saturday and managed to take a shower with DS in the bouncer, but never made it to the post office with him. Do you have anyone to help nearby? My mom's going to come on Tuesday to help me try and get to the breastfeeding support meeting in town on time, but I feel bad since it's an hour drive to our house. Ok, I'm going to try and nap before dh wakes up for work.

Get that nap! My mom or dad are only a phone call away, thank goodness. Plus MH could leave citing fmla if i really need him too.
Woke up for a feeding and diaper change. Nursing went fine and if seems like my boobs are finally not rock hard (yay!).
The diaper change was a fiasco. First, LO pooped and then continued to poop in his fresh diaper, so I had to sit there waiting for the grossness to end. Then, after I got that one replaced and was feeling lucky I didn't get peed on, I realized DS HAD shot pee like a fountain onto me . Awesome.
We have the Munchkin warmer. We have never had an issue with the wipes dying out. They do get dryer, but not bad.
If LO will be going to daycare or out of the home the majority of the day, I can see them drying out. But since we are generally home, we go through them relatively quickly.

And up again for feeding #2. was really hoping for more sleep between.oh well. now lo is barely staying latched.
Ditto all around. Now I have to pump bc DD was too lazy to even finish!
Talk about frustration! I go to pump bc DD didn't want to finish, and was latching poorly, and I was only able to get 3/4 oz between the two boobs! Gr! Not even enough for one feeding! I suppose I could combine part of another bottle to top it off..not what I want to do though. Suck.
DH just left for his first day back to work. I want to cry. His time went way too fast! LO is on his first feeding after being put down at 10. Hoping he goes back to sleep afterwards instead of being up for an hour like last night. At least when he sleeps; he seems to sleep well!
Cry if you want to...that was the hardest adjustment for me and tears flowed for days. But, you can do it! Good luck!
I think it was the glass of tea I had earlier keeping her up. Feed #3 Finally she's nursing on the righty which is always her fav now that we got past its brutal letdown. Poor thing. I'm looking forward to this letdown issue being a thing of the past. Even though its almost 6am and I'm Exhausted I just love my little squishy girl so much!
Frruote class="Quote" rel="slusk13">Also why is burping DD a longer process than nursing her? I don't get it. Am I doing it all wrong..
Sometimes I can pat for over 5 minutes and nothing! Then, 10 minutes later helets a huge belch go. Dg keeps accusing me of not burping him. Ass.
Feeding 2 or 3, can't remember. Lo has latched, unlatched and relatched so many times in the last few minutes its ridiculous. He roots furiously, too! SStrange child...
Just finished feeding number three. Also i watched the miley preformance. Just... i cant. I understand shes an adult now. But that made me really uncomfortaable to watch. Plus she sounded aweful.
Re: Night Crew Check In
