Funny name DH has picked....

in 1st Trimester

Last week DH told me he picked the perfect boys name, Alexander. It's my maiden name, and I was like, "Perfect." I like Alex, and its the first boys name he's suggested I like.

Except now, DH insists his middle name is Spartacus. Yes he is serious. He now has all his guy friends, and half of my family calling the baby Alexander Spartacus.

I don't know whether to laugh or smack him. We were both hoping for a boy, but now I'm hoping God will spare me the fight, and it will be a girl. We agree on that name at least.

    HAHA, yikes...Maybe you can talk to him and say, "I like the first name you selected, but since you picked it, mind if I pick the middle name? I dont know how i feel about the one you picked."

    Sounds like my DH and his name suggestions..I actually can't think of them now..I think it's from my pregnancy brain or I actually did try to forget he mentioned them!

    This. Exactly. He's saying things like "He wont need a stroller, but a chariot." and "No one will mess with him in school because he'll say, 'I'm Spartacus."

    Its kind of frightening how great everyone thinks this is. I'm hoping in the next 30 weeks I can change his mind. LOL

    That is too funny! My DH wants to name the baby Griswold after Chevy Chace in the National Lampoon movies! Let's hope for girls Wink

    OMG! I swear my DH tells me his middle name is D for Danger! He actually has no middle name! LOL

    My boyfriend tries to come up with names, but I shoot him down everytime.  We've had the conversation even before I got pregnant.  I have only liked one name that he's suggested, well two, Colin and Lillian.  They have been the only acceptable ones.  He literally wanted to name our child "Grandbaby", because he likes when Joe Gibbs talks about his grandbabies.

    Tell you DH since he was sweet enought to suggest Alexander since it's your maiden name, maybe you should suggest his FN as the baby's MN.
