No Husband?!?!

Am I the only person on this site who is pregnant and not married? All I hear about is the husbands! Will the women who aren't married please stand up. Don't get me wrong I wish I was married but gosh I feel like an ultimate sinner when I read everyone else's posts and they are talking about husbands and not boyfriends like myself.

I'm not married. Got engaged last November and we decided we wanted a baby. So baby will be about 4 months old at our wedding next August

You've got a friend in me! I also am not married but am with an amazing guy! Our plan was to get married and then have kids one day maybe within the next year or two but clearly God had other plans. I don't look at this child as being a bastard or whatever. Most people have already had their share of comments and quite honestly I don't care. This baby is a symbol of our love for each other and somewhere down the road one day we'll show it in marriage.

I'm married. But I was not married with DD who is now 11. I've only been married 3 years. So you aren't alone. I felt the same way at one time. ;;)

I'm married to my sons dad now but when I was pregnant with my son I had only been dating my then boyfriend for about 10 months. We just got married last year and my son is 4 so I know how you feel. You aren't alone!! Plus now you can have a great wedding when you're ready with your adorable little one right there with you. My son still talks about "our" wedding as if it was the whole family's.

That was very comforting. I actually never planned on having kids but like you said "God has other plans" so here we are. I'm due on the 7th. That may change after Tuesday. That's our first appointment :-)

Be confident in your situation. I know plenty of women having babies while unhappily married. Plus, I'm glad to see that you're not alone.. No one is Ever alone or should feel alone when it comes to having miracles inside of us. Good luck with you and your boyfriend. I'm sure you will make great parents - married or not.

I am married, but I've had several friends who have had children before they were married and I in no way looked down on them. I even have a friend who decided she wanted to be a Mom when there was not man/significant other in the picture. She went through profiles at a sperm bank, did IUI and now is a wonderful mother to an amazing little girl.

I'm married now but not when I had my DD and she's 10. Enjoy your pregnancy and your man and live life to the fullest!!! Don't listen to people judging you. Those are usually the people that aren't happy with themselves! Happy nine months!!!

I am not married. Never have been and don't need to be. Live with my bf and we want to spend our money on building a business and a family. If anything will get married at city hall if we feel its necessary. Plus and I know this sounds extremely vain I'm 38 now and don't look as great as I did in my 20's so maybe not as excited about those wedding photos. Lol.

You ladies are all awesome! I'm so in love with this birth club. I'm glad sweet pea is due in April. I'm not sure I'd love any other mommies to be as much as I love my fellow April moms!

You can't plan everything in life. If I could I'd be married, two kids, a dog and my beautiful dream home. Life doesn't work like that. Glad I helped. Where are you from? I'm from NY due April 9th.

You'll look great. And when baby is like two you can show him/her wedding photos and tell them they were right in your tummy. Of course he/she may not believe you lol

I couldn't be more happier with my man, and we are so excited to have a baby together. By no means will we rush into marriage just because of this, we're going to take our time and do it right

Same here. We are NOT rushing into marriage. It'll happen but first sweet pea has to come out. I love my boyfriend we're an excellent team and we'll get even better as parents.

I'm planning a wedding in 2 months. It's sheer insanity. I'm basically between the bump and the knot all day. Empire dress all the way (ill be 15 weeks on wedding day). Everyone makes different life choices or we just deal with the circumstances. My fiancé is from Europe and he says its totally normal for people to have kids outside of wedlock there. Mostly it's tradition and religion that dictate the order of family. Religions also say to not judge others. So celebrate your babe!

Not married here either. Was already married. Pretty much leaving it up to my guy to propose as to when we will get married. We'll end up at the courthouse and then throw a party - all things we've talked about. I may have said DH in a post or two because its easy and I we act like we're married already

I've definitely said DH because I wasn't sure what all the acronyms meant and I knew it meant baby daddy in someway. Lol. When I was pregnant with my son my bf at the time decided to leave me for a bit so I used the acronym SD (sperm donor) in that time.

Not married. My boyfriend and I have both been previously married and we've only been together for 8 months! But we love eachother and have a wonderful relationship. He told me he wanted to get married but he hasn't officially proposed yet. I was hoping he'd hurry so I wouldn't have to get married with a bump and admit to our kid that we weren't married but he's a bubble head and isn't even thinking of it like that I'm sure! I'm not gonna push him though, but hopefully he gets to it soon!

but we will get a civil union she my partner can be on the birth certificate because Colorado is awesome like that. Plus both of our parents got married because they were pregnant both are still happily married 30 plus years later

I am not married either. But also have a amazing guy in the picture. We have been best friends for 12 years. Both have previously married and divorced and now been together a few years. We knew we were ready for a baby. And here we are due April 24 as of now after over a year of trying

We got our BFP. On the month we started testing for infertility. So we are over the moon it happened naturally

I personally think pregnant brides are beautiful. No reason. Just because. Maybe it's bc there is this amazing glow and perfectly round bump. Plus, you get to knock out the showers and engagement/wedding/pregnancy photos all at the same time. Gotta look at the positives!

I don't think that a marriage is required for a baby. I think the most important things are a stable home and family, the ability to support and take care of the kid, and a warm loving environment.
