We had Rylee's appointment today. She weighed in at 14 lbs 7 ounces and is 24 inches long . She did pretty well with shots. We also got the ok to start solids . Can't wait to try it. Baby girl is growing tooooooo fast
DS had his appointment yesterday, at 4 months exactly. Weight: 15 lbs, 2 oz....50th percentile Length: 66.5 cm...90th percentile It's funny, because I keep thinking he's such a big boy, but he's so much smaller than his sisters were at this age. (They were both in the 90-95 percentile range for height and weight. He's tiny by comparison, lol) He practically guzzled the oral vaccine, and barely flinched for the first shot. He cried so hard for the second his face was all red, but settled down really quickly afterwards. All in all, he handled them like a champ!
Stats: 25.59 inches (89%) 15.65 lbs (85%). She's actually 5 months now because she was 3 weeks early. I can't believe it. Almost time to start solids, eekkk.
Just did he 4 month checkup/shots. Little guy is not so little weighing in at over 17lbs. He has doubled his birth weight. Measuring 85th percentile for weight and length
Greyson's appointment was back on the 6th - but my internet has been on the fritz so I've been MIA on here!
He was 16 lb 4 oz (60th percent) and 25" long.
Our doctor said to keep breastfeeding and not to do any solids yet. She said if I feel like he just can't get enough that I could start giving him rice cereal... but I'm thinking of skipping grains all together.
Emma was 4 months on 4/9, but had her appt on Wednesday. Weighed in at 16 lbs, 1 oz and 26.25". Two month shots were a breeze. Four month shots were a nightmare. Poor girl!
Tommy was 4 mo on the 11th and had his appt the following day. He weighed 17lb 15 oz, is 26.5" long with a 17" head circumference. 95th percentile for weight and 93rd for height. Well over double his birth weight of 7lb 9oz. Started on oatmeal cereal and we are introducing purées.
We went yesterday and he turned 4 months on the 16th. He weighed 16 pounds even and is 25 inches tall. My office doesn't do percentiles until 6 months.
Over-40 parents...what we lack in vigor, we make up for with cunning.
Xander was 28" and 16 lbs 5 oz. 100% for height and 65% for weight. We are just now transitioning to 6mo clothes just because they are so short we love summer and shorts. Winter with pants is going to be tricky!
Weighed in at 14.8 lbs today (18wks). Everything checked out perfectly. I forgot the percentiles. :-/. Shots left her extra fussy/needy all afternoon but hoping it also equals a full nights sleep.
Ped did say to stop feeding every 2hrs at night. She said LO should be able to go at least 4hrs, but more likely 6 so we need to try and soothe other ways before nursing so often in the MOTN.
She also gave us the go ahead to start avacado or oatmeal if we really wanted but said she personally would wait another 4 weeks.
DD turned 4 months on the 16th but had her appointment today. 15# 15oz (90%) 24inches (50%) our pedi told us to start solids once a day now so that's what we are doing tonight. He wants us to do away with one bottle. She normally eats 28-34 oz a day I thought that was normal but I guess well try veggies.
Reading all these posts makes me realize how much of a peanut I have! I was really small though and her baby BMI is holding steady. The pediatrician is not concerned at all.
11 pounds 15.5 ounces (7%), 24 inches (forgot to ask the percentile).
I can't finally post here (if anyone is still reading this) 15.8lbs 90% 26in 97% head is only 40cm with is 25%. I have a beast with a tiny little peanut head! She is perfect. Did really well with the shots too, hated the drink as usual. Cried but stopped as soon as she was picked up.
@nicolesb80 did the pedi give a reason to stop nursing so often overnight? Is your LO overweight? (It doesn't seem so by your siggy pic and her weight at her visit). Just wondering bc some nights M's up and fully nursing every two hours overnight...and if my pedi told me to stop, I wouldn't. Lol
Little man is 15 pounds and 25 1/4 in long (70% for both). Took his shots like a champ!! Much better than 2 months. Let's hope tonight goes well!! We got the ok to start cereal but we may wait a little. He grabs at all of our food and pulls his bottle into his mouth.
Way late here, but DD just had his 4 month check up on Tuesday. He weighs 12 lbs 13 oz which is around the 10th percentile. He is 25 inches long which is around the 70th percentile....he's our little bean pole!
In the last 2 weeks or so, he's started rolling like crazy and is really trying to sit on his own.
I forgot to post Emma's stats for her 4 mo appt...
Weight is 16lbs 7oz (95th percentile)
Height is 25 3/4" (95th percentile)
She did ok that day from the shots, but the next day spiked a fever that lasted almost 2 days... it was also associated with teething and she got a cold 3 days later...
Finally joining too! 4 month appointment was today. Bday is 4-26. She is 13 lbs 3 oz and 25.25 inches long. Tall and skinny like her brother! We got referred to a pedi ortho to check an issue with one of her hips. Kind of nervous about that, but pedi said it is mostly just to be safe. Here's to hoping!
@kate_c...I hope all is okay with LO's hips! What was noticed that the pedi wants checked?
He did the normal rotating the hip tests and noticed a clicking in one hip. That can be a sign of hip dysplasia so he referred her to get checked by a specialist. I don't have any of the normal factors that would increase her risk (breech baby, family history, first kid, low AFI), so hopefully this is just a random finding that isn't indicative of a problem.
Finally had our 4 month (and 2 week?) appointment on Monday. Here's Clark's stats:
Weight - 17lbs 13oz
Length - Ok, is it bad I don't remember this already? I think it was 25 3/4"
He's 92nd percentile for weight and length and 80-something for his head.
We talked to the pedi about his head-tilting issue (you can see it in my siggy pic). She referred us to a physical therapist and we have an evaluation appointment next week. He also has a flat spot but she thinks it's not bad enough to get a helmet. She's ordered LOTS and LOTS of tummy time. She says every time we put him down he should be on his tummy.
We finally had our appointment yesterday as well. She will be 5 months a week from today.
Weight: 13 lbs 11 oz (25th percentile)
Height: 25 inches long (50th percentile)
Head: 16 cm (75th percentile... thanks to her dad)
She is doing great. Acted like her shots didn't exist! Doctor said to only make real food a snack and not let it over take her bottles since she went down in percentile. At her last appointment, she was in the 65th percentile. Other than that, shes finally rolling and trying her hardest to scoot

Finally I can add our update! I swear we are the last ones to have our 4 month (or almost 5 now) appointment since our doctor was on vacation.
DD is 26 inches long and 13.6 lbs. Doctor says she is on the light side now for weight but it is probably due to her length and her activity level (I swear she was trying to show off all her new tricks to the doctor this morning - squirming, kicking, rolling, grabbing her feet... lol), and that I can consider starting her on a little rice cereal to "beef her up a bit". Other than that, she said everything is perfect and that she is very strong.
She was definitely not a happy girl after her shots, but I'm glad it's over and that I was also able to hold it together this time.
