Only a couple of days ago I ran to the grocery store literally minutes before they closed to get myself banana split fixings. I felt like everyone was smirking at the really pregnant lady with ice cream, hot fudge, bananas and whipped cream in her hands (they don't give bags at stores here anymore).
As for me, DS just went down and I'm enjoying using DH's computer. Bumping is so much easier on a computer and I usually just use my phone or ipad. Almost time for tonight's banana split.
I'm so bummed baby didn't decide to come this weekend. I'm not sure which I want more at this point...baby out and in my arms or just to not have to go to work anymore! I should be sleeping but eh.
As my due date gets closer, I keep feeling more and more anxious about just about everything that comes with labor, delivery, and having a newborn. For instance, I'm terrified of tearing, and the pain and bleeding after delivery. I'm worried about breast feeding, and if LO will latch. I'm worried about clogged milk ducts and mastitis and thrush and everything. I'm worried about any complications that could happen during delivery. I've been having dreams just about every night that I deliver in some weird way (last night, in my dream my stomach ripped open just under my boobs and LO's head and arms came out, which made her legs broken and never work again). I've just been worried.
Just ate my 2nd cupcake tonight and my excuse: I'm BF Haha also DD witching hour has started so we've decided to watch taken 2 instead of trying to sleep

I am right there with you....I am regretting staying at work till she is born. DH reminded me today I could take my leave, but then I would have less baby time... ....So I continue to tough it out...I think I will have a bowl of ice cream...or some cake...or maybe BOTH!!!!! Gonna watch the season finale of True Blood!!

You'll be ok! I think it's something we all fear, think about, and dream about.
Baby is wide awake and nursing. I have fed him, had a little chat for about 15 minutes, then changed him and he is eating again. This makes me happy because that means he will sleep well once he does go down.
I'm going to brag that LO has been a BFing CHAMP! She latches perfectly to both sides, and does at least 20 minutes each feeding. She does, however, hate to be in her "cradle" at the hospital, and these beds are not made for co-sleeping!
quick change of subject.....Did any of you with outside babies listen to music during delivery? I am thinking of putting together a playlist on itunes, or spotify and just wondering what everyone listened to!
I just want to quick note that anyone can make this thread each night. I'm west coast, so 'late' for me is 'really late' for east coasters. I don't mind making the thread, I just don't want anyone to miss out because the thread hasn't been made yet.
I watched whodunnit tonight. It was freakin amazing.
Also for the first time in a long time i have ft sad about being a young mom. All my friends are out at a hair awards ahow and going out clubbing after. Id be lieing if i said i wasnt sad i couldnt go out. I guess im just feeling like i gave up my years to party and have fun to be a mom and have a family.
On a less depressing note. I ate a bowl of chocolate brownie frozen yogurt for supper. I justified it by saying frozen yogurt is healthier then ice cream lol
DD is sleeping right now. This last feeding, she woke herself up to eat at the 2.5 hour mark. Which means my peaceful first 36 hours is almost up. Looks like a long night ahead.
We will head home from the hospital in the morning, once baby girl finishes up her testing.
And @kwrecks ... I actually was always too focused and excited at the end of labor to pay attention to background noise. I made a playlist with my first, but I, have never listened to it.
My labor hint; stop focusing on the whole thing! One contraction at a time! While it seems like one event- birth- it is actually a bunch of small events. Take it one contraction at a time. You will do great!

I also had a playlist ready to go but when I got there and things started happening music was the last thing on my mind. I would say there isn't any harm in having it prepared in case you want to use it.
The good news...my milk came in!!! The bad news...the engorgement situation is pretty intense! Holy huge, painful boobs! They literally begin under my arm pits...I can't properly put my arms down! Hopefully DS gives me some relief!

My sister and i watched hgtv while i was in labor. It was mindless and i didnt feel like i missed anything inbetween contractions.

Sitting with a constipated, gassy babe while hubs and pup are sleeping on the couch next to me...Hoping she will allow me to put her down after her next feeding....any tips for constipation??
So I think my body as switched my days and nights to prepare me for when LO gets here because I am tired all day long, but as soon as night hits I am wide awake. Oh, and I am officially over due as of 38 minutes ago.

Does she have hard poop? Is she BF?
Just curious, because BF babies can go DAYS between poops. Like... 9 and still be perfectly normal. And then you have a blowout. And lots of gas in the meantime.
Mylicon helped my son a lot. It takes large gas bubbles and makes them smaller.

Did I miss the announcement? Congrats in having your baby.
My LO is still happy inside and moving like crazy. I know I am a little early but I am so ready to meet her and reclaim my body.
I just googled and performed a bunch of acupressure spots to induce labor and I'm just going to pray that they work then go to bed. DS is getting a tooth and is probably going to be a bear tomorrow. It would be nice to be able to have MIL deal with that crankiness p.s. I'm definitely waiting until both these kids are done teething before I even think about having more. DS bit me today, and that's just not something I want to deal with at three days overdue.

Had Santana radio on via Pandora! Husband says all kinds of good music was on...Zepplin, Crosby, etc. I focused on the music till it got to much. But enjoyed having it on.
DH gave DD a big pumped bottle at 11...I was hoping she'd make it 4 hours, but no such luck... she's almost 6 weeks, so guessing its time for another growth spurt!!

If you want to, sure. If I don't see it when I get on I will make. I'm just avknowledging that my late is different than everyone else
I am insanely jealous of the people who complain about having to feed their lo's every 3 hours. My little guy eats every 1.5 on a good day, on a fussy day he eats every 30-45 minutes. If I get 2 hours of sleep I am coo'ing to him about what a good baby he is!

It will be a miracle if I haven't gained at least 5lbs this week at my doctors appointment.
