I have a sip of whatever my DH is drinking. For some reason I crave beer like crazy.

Definitely not risking it! I have heard and read on many occasions that sporadic alcohol is perfectly fine to consume, but I don't think I would ever forgive myself if something were to go wrong later on.
Me: 28 DH: 33 TTC since February 2012, married September 2012
DX with Hypothalamic Amenorrhea 2/2013, HSG clear, Bloodwork good, SA great! Started seeing RE February 2013
I want a beer or a glass of wine so bad! I just can not and will not bring myself to do it. To each their own.
This. I feel guilty enough about my 100mg of caffeine a day, although I have been told over and over again it is ok. I don't judge those that do drink, but it's not for me. I will drink again though .. In December!
I voted no, but I will confess that I had one sip of Natty Boh while at an Oriole's game. It's just not American if you don't at an O's game. But I cannot wait for the day I can pour a tall glass of red wine and go to my happy place that only comes from a glass of red

I used to drink every Friday after work and I would enjoy the odd glass of wine with my dinner in the evening during the week, I miss it so much! I don't make a habit of it now that I'm preggers but if I go to an event or special occasion I'll have one glass of red. Mmmm want one now!
I said yes because I am not opposed to a drink a week while pregnant. But so far I haven't wanted to drink any wine. With DS I would sip on wine in the third trimester but that was about it, it just never really sounded good.
I've had a small glass of wine here and there, but I waited until 2nd tri to do so. IMO it's not a huge deal.
I waited until second tri too! I didn't drink at all during my first pregnancy, had a few during my second, and this time I have it sometimes. I know I'm not abusing and so I'm ok with it!

I've had a couple of glasses of wine. Most recently a glass at lunch on Friday...with my swordfish. This poor kid doesn't stand a chance.
I was talking to my best friend and she was making fun of me bc I'm totally cool with wine, but there is no way I'd drink a mixed drink. Same amount of alcohol, but it just seems a lot worse to be slamming back a vodka soda vs. a glass of wine. LOL
My doctor gave me a big fat stern no on the consumption of alcohol during pregnancy, so I will not be sipping or drinking till this baby is outta me. But I sure as heck would love some wine right now.
Yup. About a 1/2 glass of wine at our anniversary dinner and on another occasion. And you better believe that when I make a bomb ass margarita for my husband that I'm going to take a few sips! literally just a few though...I swear
"Dont fucking ever come out your face talking shit like that" -SG 1/12/2014
I'm weird, I'm borderline alcohol intolerant, I've about figured. The only drink I've managed to have without making myself sick has been mudslides, and I can honestly get the same enjoyment out of a chocolate milkshake as a mudslide, so....no alcohol for me!
I'll have a beer or a glass of wine (or two) once I a week if I want it. If I'm not craving it or anything then I skip it. The wine is getting skipped more now because of the heartburn!
I haven't and won't, because my OB is pretty adamant about refraining from alcohol and I would personally feel guilty and not enjoy it anyway. But I have been wanting a glass of Riesling BAAAD. I dream about NYE (when I plan to have my first postpartum drink!).

Hell, why wait til NYE? lol, I've told my friend she's bringing me up a bottle and a couple of wine glasses so we can all enjoy some after my c-section! hehe. Totally kidding, btw ..... kind of.

NYE is my due date, so I'll probably have to wait until 2014. I'm a sad panda. (
Oh no after labor I informed my bf his push present to me is in n out and my baby sis is in charge of procuring chocolate covered gummy bears. I am going to be sooooo hungry!!!
I had a few sips of champagne at a wedding when I was 13 weeks pregnant. Then I had one small glass of wine a few weeks ago when I was out to dinner with friends. I don't plan on making a habit out of it while pregnant. But I don't think the very occasional small glass of wine is the end of the world.
With our first not even a sip. 2nd def had a few sips of DH's beverages. This 3rd I've had probably 2 full glasses total. I'm sure I'll have a glass at Thanksgiving. I don't even feel a bit guilty, it's really no worse than taking a Tylenol IMO anyway. So long as you're not abusing...
Nope, no way, no how. My 2 sisters (adopted) have FAS. Knowing that it is 100% preventable keeps me from drinking at all why pregnant. I can handle the 9 months without.

I've had a very small, 3 oz glass of wine a couple of times in 2nd tri. My OB said it's fine. I worry much more about the effects of chemicals in processed food/sweetners and pesticides on produce. If my child did end up with birth defects or behavior issues, I wouldn't attribute it to a half glass of wine on my anniversary dinner.
I have to chime in on FAS. I encourage everyone to research this disease and look at peer reviewed, scientific studies. I have yet to read a conclusive study linking moderate/light alcohol consumption after the first trimester to negative long term health effects on the baby. As for anecdotal evidence, I teach at a very low income middle school, and I've worked with A LOT of kids with FAS. In many cases, the behavioral symptoms do not even manifest until the child is nearing puberty. In every case I have seen, mother was a regular, heavy drinker from conception to birth. Many of the kids were in foster care or had been adopted. I completely understand how knowing a child with this disorder could result in a choice of abstaining completely. But IMO, I think it's an overstep to fear FAS from a small glass of wine.
I definitely miss a glass, two or three of wine every night, but I find myself craving sushi so much more. I guess we always crave things we want more when we can't have them right? Come on December, you can do it!!!!
