Bless your heart for wanting to be a surrogate. I know you have a kind heart but be sure cause it can be a very roller coaster journey for all involved! If you have questions let me know

Hoping4more, I believe it! My life has taught me roller coasters and I think was preparing me to be able to do something like this. I know it won't be easy, but nothing truly worth doing ever is, I mean, all of us on this board know that lol! Giving up a child your carried is not an easy thing to think of let alone do. Do you have experience with surrogacy? I'd love to ask questions and I'm sure will have a ton. The law aspect is fascinating me right now. I guess it would have to be strict and detailed in order to protect all parties, that is a good thing. I talked to my best friend, she went through ffi and is devout Christian, so i figured if anyone would tell me straight she would. She reiterated that if it is God's will calling me he would make it so or not, and she was completely supportive. So far one hurdle is just supper of loved ones and family as I will be explaining enough later right? Hubby and I talk about it a lot. He is down that he feels it is his fault that "we are resorting to this" so we had a real heart to heart- because if he isn't completely on board we won't be able to do this- I couldn't put him through that. But he seemed more on board with it ending our conversation agreeing that out there some family is in devastation like we were before dd. that had I been unable to bear children he would have wanted someone to come forward and help us and in the end, while it would put us closer to our dream of another child, we will have helped another couple with their dream too. So we will keep talking and in the mean time, I'm just going to keep eating right, exercising and we keep trying to conceive a surprise natural child. I have dd weaned to one nursing at night which goes away at this month's AF and then I go through one cycle to normalize, blood work to check prolactin and what not then start FET cycle! I did get better night sleep, and have been in fairly high spirits! Whatever happens, good things are coming!!!

My best friend was a surrogate for us. We had a donated egg & her uterus. We had the beautiful baby girl in my soggy, she's 8 months old now so that pic is old.

Legality will vary depending on where you are. Here there is no pre-birth order & regardless of biology whomever gives birth is mom. So at birth my hubby & her went on birth records. She was released to him & I from hospital then I went through process to adopt her.
