Hello ladies, today I'm 36 weeks and I had my weekly appointment with my OB. Sorry this may be long....
We did the non stress test today and they did all the normal stuff including checking my blood pressure. It's always been great but today he said it has started creeping up. He's sending me for some bloodwork and a urine sample and then I go back tomorrow for an ultrasound. When my urine was tested today there was no protein in it. I've been having some really bad swelling in my legs and feet though for the past month. Anyways, I'm lucky enough that I'm still working 32 hours a week. He mentioned I may have to cut back even more or quit working all together. He's concerned about preeclampsia.... I may be jumping the gun because we don't have the results back yet but I am nervous!
Anyone else deal with a similiar issue? What did your OB do, put you on bedrest? Induce?
TIA!!!
Re: Blood pressure creeping up at 36 weeks?
At 32w, I was admitted to the hospital for a wkend of observation. When it looked like I was stable, I was released but monitored v closely. I had to take my BP twice a day and get bloodwork weekly. I knew what symptoms to look out for and knew to go straight to L and D if I felt off.
I was working FT and the suggestion was made to work from home twice a week but no bed rest or any other restrictions. My water ended up breaking at 34w, but the end game was to not let me go past 37 to 38 weeks.
Hopefully everything comes back good for you!!
