Has anyone scheduled their first OB appointment yet?

I called this morning and they scheduled me for September 16th, which sounds crazy-making. I'll be 12 weeks by then! I have a phone-appointment with a nurse next week but that's not going to do much to help my anxiety.

I'm betting your OBs are significantly more reasonable than mine.

My first one is scheduled for August 22nd. I'll be 8 weeks. I specifically asked for the earliest that they could schedule without me being a high risk. Sorry yours is so far away. I feel your anxiety. Every minute I am scared too, and I would love some reassurance.

I scheduled mine today for August 29th. I will be 8.4 weeks. She wanted me to do the following week, but I am a teacher and that is our first week of school so I wanted it the week before.

My first appointement is August 16th (6w6d) because I had a m/c in May.

During my first pregnancy I had my first appointement at 12 weeks too and everything turned out well, our son is 13 months now.

Just scheduled mine this morning. I'll be 9 weeks by then. I definitely understand your concerns. My appointment is not until the end of August and already I can't wait! To help with the my nerves of not having an appointment right away, I have been writing down all my questions. It's definitely helped with getting everything off my mind and on paper. I just scheduled mine this morning and it will be the 1st week of September, which is normal. It's better to have smooth sailing until that first appointment, than to have a concern. Not that this sage advice is helpful in calming nerves!

I go on August 22nd for my 8 week too

My OB schedules then between 6-8 weeks for your first. I opted for the 8 week in case they do a dating u/s which I would rather see the baby further along.

My Dr said they won't schedule before 6 weeks and prefer closer to 8. I'm 4 wks 6 days and feeling very inpatient!

I have mine 8th August (day before my princess 2nd birthday) with my consultant I will be 6+2 this is because of previous miscarriages I will get a scan and start my hormone injections my midwife will be around 12w

I'm with an RE, so my schedule is slightly different. I won't be released to an OB until after 9 weeks.

I scheduled mine for Sept 3rd. I'll be right at 9 weeks. I think I went in at 6 weeks during my last pregnancy, but I guess my office is changing it up. They said that I would get a dating ultrasound at that appt.

I have my initial appointment, which is just bloodwork and a meeting with the nurse practitioner next tuesday (ill be about 5 weeks) and then on the 25th I have an ultrasound.

I have an appt. on Thursday! I was shocked, bc last time I was pregnant I couldn't get in until 8weeks and last time I saw this doctor I wanted to be seen ASAP for some issues I was having and couldn't get in for 2.5 weeks. So we'll see what happens then.

I just scheduled mine today. I have an appointment with the nurse and blood work next week and then my first appointment with the doctor on Sept 3. I was elated to hear they will do an US at this appointment. This was very unexpected, at my previous OB (she moved) the first US wasn't until the 20ish week anatomy scan unless there were problems.

Scheduled mine today for August 21, I'll be 7 weeks. My midwives usually do 1st apps between 6-9 weeks.

I'm also with an RE and stay with him till at least 8 weeks or when they hear the heart beat. Then I go to the OB.

I called my doctor today and he saw me right away for blood work. I will know results tomorrow. So excited!

I'm seeing an RE (due to recurrent miscarriages) and have already had bloodwork to confirm and scheduled an ultrasound at 6 1/2 weeks. Meanwhile I scheduled with an OB to get established and they're going to do their blood work up at 5 1/2 weeks and an ultrasound at 9 weeks.

I just scheduled my first one for August 19. I called 2 different doctors (my original OB retired and so I do not have a current OB) and the first scheduled me for Sept 4th and the 2nd for Aug 19. So I guess I'll be canceling the Sept 4th appointment.

I have a nurse's appointment this Thursday, which is when she will do blood work, update my history, etc. My first appointment with the OB will be scheduled that day. I'm anxious to find out when it will be!

I just got my positive today. I called my OB right away and they wanted me to come in this week already. I thought that was a little crazy. I will be 4 weeks tomorrow. I ended up making the appointment for next Monday!

Mine is next Thurs. 8/15. I'll be 5weeks5days. I had hypertension with my last pregnancy and have recently been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Next appt probably won't be until 10-12 weeks for heartbeat. He only does the anatomy scan unless something warrants an ultrasound sooner. I wouldn't expect that until 20ish weeks.

Went in today at 4w2d and did some bloof work. Scheduled me for a sonogram in 2 weeks which will make me just over 6 weeks. Can't wait!

I just made my appointment for blood work next week, I'll be about 5wks 5 days, then not sure when the next appt with doctor is. But they did say they only do US 18-20 weeks? This is my first pregnancy and I was all excited to see things sooner....as long as everything is ok I suppose not much I can do about it

any reason why they don't do it earlier now days?

My first appt is Aug 26 - I'll be 8 weeks (ish). My OB generally schedules them between 7 and 10 weeks. This go-round is so different from my first BFP -- we were doing fertility treatments and charting, so we knew exactly what day I O'ed, and then did four rounds of betas... This time was such a surprise - I'm so curious to see what she declares my official DD.

Mine is August 13th I went in for blood work to my MD first to confirm the pregnancy. Ill only be about 6w5d on the 13th but my obgyn said he might be able to hear heart beat! Can't wait! First pregnancy, impatient for everything!

@AVKetch..I think it varies by doctor. Some insurance companies will only cover 1 unless there is a medical reason for additional ultrasounds. I know my doctor told me last time that whether or not I would get an early ultrasound depended on the type of insurance I had.
