I tried to make a gif of slimmer coming down the hall at the camera...it wasn't working out for me.

If someone can make that happen I think that should be the standard reply to all mucus plug posts!

Although yes, constant mucus plug questions and the dilation questions are annoying. I do feel for first time moms or first time pregnancies, having one myself. If you have never had to deal with it before you aren't going to know what it is or what labor feels like.

They are. I'm sorry, but when you (I'm speaking to the general you, not YOU) come to an online forum and use us as Google without doing any research yourself, or calling your care provider, and then get all up in arms over the responses you get, it's deserved. To me, it's the same as walking up to a random stranger on the street and saying "Hey, so here are all my symptoms, am I in labor?"

I think it just gets old. After a day at work and being asked how I'm feeling, am i dilating, do I have a name yet, and insert a slew of other inappropriate/private questions asked by the same people OVER an OVER - the last thing I want to do is come on here and reply to yet ANOTHER post about "whats this snot in my underwear" or "is my baby ok?" GOOGLE IT, or call your OB.
