I stole this from the old check in....

This group is for those of us dealing with male factor issues. We welcome everyone but mostly we are dealing with low count, motility, morphology or all three. Male infertility is a mysterious world filled with questions no one, including REs, urologists, acupuncturists or anyone else seem to have the answers to. Any treatment suggested is a coin toss for success and a 3 month wait for a fresh batch of swimmers. Most of us are told the only answer is IUI or IVF w/ICSI. The purpose of this group is to support each other through shared experiences and to share any info we can because the more informed we are the better. We have a check in every Sunday. Welcome and GL and PPVs to all!

Can I join? DH was had a zero count... now with clomid we have some but it's up and down! IUI planned July!!!

I would love to learn Italian... it's so romantic and my dream vacation!!!

Update: MY TSH IS NORMAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last draw, it was 1.01 =D This *was* the last step we needed before we could move forward. Then I lost my contract at work, so we need to wait until I sign another one before we can cycle. That might happen this week, but I don't know yet. Which is extremely frustrating, considering it's CD1 today. (My work is complicated obviously.) So I guess we're waiting until August now? I'm trying to stifle the urge to punch the world in the face, but I suppose I should be used to this by now.

QOTW: I speak a few languages already, but I'd really like to learn Spanish fluently. It's DHs first language, and his entire family speaks it (even when I'm around) so I understand it very well, but they mock me when I try to speak it, so I'm very self-conscious about it, and haven't really learned how to "speak" it.

We are trying for IVF with ISCI 2.1 in July. I go in for baseline u/s & b/w on Wed. Hoping we don't get cancelled again.

I learned Spanish in HS and I wish I kept up with it. I can still remember a few words.

Beta is Tuesday and I am pretty much terrified. DH and I decided if it were bad news we'd try to do another fresh cycle as soon as we can since we are shared risk. Praying we won't have to worry about it!

FET was Friday. I've been crampy and tired since but I think the heat is making me sleepy. But I'm off bed rest, so yay!

beta is 7/1 and I won't POAS. I think it's going to be a long 2ww this time

i wish I knew Spanish better. I studied it in high school and some in college but I want to be able to speak it fluently. It would be a huge help since so many people speak Spanish.

Oh, cool! I am so glad that there is an MFI Weekly Check-In. I saw some of the older ones while scouring TB for information. Can I join, too?

We are dealing with severe MFI and just got the DX last week, so we are just getting over the shock and still looking for information. We have a miserable sperm count, poor motility and 0% morphology. Next stop: andrologist. We are waiting for our appointment in August to try to figure out what is causing this, but we have kind of accepted that IVF with ICSI is our only option. I am really glad to have this board to ask questions and get support.

I wish my French was better. I can speak a bit, but I am pretty limited avec mon vocabulaire. Italian would be next on the list after French. I love trying to learn new languages, even when I am not very successful at it. I am always surprised how patient people are with me and how much they appreciate the small effort.

As for the bolded, it is SO true! I live near Quebec, and though my Quebecois isn't great (I learned and speak Parisian French), as long as you make an effort to speak to somebody in their native tongue, they'll give you the world! Even if it's something as simple as "Hello, do you speak [English]?" if you're in a foreign country. Oh, and "Two beers please" is also helpful =P

No miracle BFP before IVF for me..started my period on a camping trip this weekend...boo! Waiting on some pending blood work and are still planning to cycle in August. Should be starting BCP this week, ready to get this show on the road!

I FINALLY HAVE NEWS!! We did a cryo preservation of DH's sperm last week. I haven't heard what the numbers were (supposedly they don't really tell you? has anyone else heard this). I may call and ask anyway.
AND the big news is that I will finally be starting my diagnostic testing!!!! July 1st will be my HSG then I will be waiting another 2 weeks for my CD3 testing, b/w and u/s. We will know what kind of shape I'm in by the end of July. We will meet with the doc, get all our IVF info and sign all the waivers and such. We are finally on our way!!!

I'd love to be fluent in French! I love love love France/Paris/ the whole scene

My DH has a zero sperm count. Good news is that all blood tests have came back normal (hormone, cystic fibrosis, etc.) We met with a urologist this past week. Our only option will be IVF/ICSI if we can find sperm through biopsy. DH had an ultrasound last Friday which we are awaiting the results before doing a biopsy. Have tentatively scheduled the biopsy for end of August which is the soonest appointment available. Really hoping a cancellation allows us to get rescheduled earlier for the biopsy so that we can hopefully start IVF end of August/early September (that is hoping they find sperm!). Right now due to when the biopsy is scheduled we wouldn't be able to start our IVF cycle until November.

I would like to learn Spanish. I took it in high school but have forgotten pretty much all of it. My DH's grandmother speaks Spanish and I would like to be able to communicate more with her!

Great to have a support group like this. Best wishes to all of you!

Thanks I responded to your post the other day, but I think it was a few days old. I'm feeling amazing on the Synthroid!!!

I don't understand why they're not telling you the results of the freeze? We got a printout of the results to keep. They wouldn't tell us the results over the phone, but we had to go in to pick them up. That just seems weird to me. I mean, you paid for them right? (Or your insurance paid for them) But either way, they're a part of your medical records and you're entitled to them!

I'm so glad you are doing so well, girl! I'm going to call them tomorrow! We definitely paid for it- insurance doesn't cover much. BLAH!
