My DD will be 2 weeks old tomorrow and this time I will not be returning to work. So, I was wondering if I should start pumping to build a small freezer supply? I probably won't be leaving DD very much, but I guess I am trying to think ahead. Thanks!!
Re: SAHM did you pump to build a freezer stash?
I also find feeding in public difficult since I have large breasts and need one hand to hold his head and one to control my boob. That leaves no hands to mess with a cover that he messes up with his wiggling. I would rather pack a bottle on those occasions.
I did... buy my baby quit taking bottles at 4 months because I wasn't that dedicated about pumping and bottle feeding. I donated the bit I had and called it a day. It wasn't worth the effort for me.
I'm considering pumping to donate to a milk bank this time - but that requires health screenings and specific food safety protocols, so I need to plan it in advance if that is my intention. I might pump a bit (like 30 oz) for my own freezer.
