Yea I'm wondering how this is even legal, like how does he even have custody still? And couldn't this be considered child endangerment on her part?
The fact that it is NOT illegal and we both have custody of our children, with the blessing of the justice system and the state we live in SHOULD TELL YOU SOMETHING!!! Sexual predators are not allowed to live with children and yet...here we are...and it's not because we're flying under the radar.
It is allowed because he's NOT A THREAT TO MY CHILDREN OR ANYONE ELSE'S.
There, that's probably the only response I'll be able to give because my kids will be back from their grandma's house soon and because I'll likely just be banned again right away. I don't have all day to sit here and create AEs.
This simply is not true. Sadly, RSOs CAN live with their own children. At least, until they molest them and have them taken away.
Source: My brother (that I do not speak to or associate with because I have standards for myself and my family) has been convicted of child molestation THREE TIMES. He is a level 3 RSO. He is currently on lifetime probation. He also found a woman willing to marry him and procreate with him, and has 2 daughters that he lives with.

Yep. There is a RSO in our neighborhood who lives with his wife and 4 small children. The authorities keep an eye on him, but they let him live there. He was convicted of 2 counts of child molestation before his kids were born and spent a couple of years in prison. He's also a pastor at a local church.

It's so disturbing.

From what I've read, the newspapers reported he "found god" in prison. He also told the congregation about his offenses during a sermon. It's so shocking to me what people are willing to forgive.

Yikes. I just read up on some of the things that Allison said to the June moms in the CIO post. I would be so upset if Alicia was the mod of my BMB after all of that and XPing the drama. I'm glad that she's been removed as mod from this board but it doesn't really do that much good if she's still mod on other boards, right? She still has mod powers. Sorry to all the June moms that have to put up with her as mod and her BFF taunting you with her siggy.

It's my understanding that she won't be moderating ANY boards any more.

Actually rapists can sue for custody of a child conceived via the rape, and it HAS been granted on some occasions. I'd imagine child molesters have similar rights, while it would be difficult I don't know that it is impossible.

Okay, I won't quote, but regarding the "pastor" RSO... that's insane. I'm a conservative Christian with a husband who's on staff at a church and all about forgiveness, but this is insane and not biblical.

I believe that you should forgive people and give them the benefit of the doubt, but you need to be smart too. Every time you place a person who is or whoever has been sexually attracted to children in a position where they're around children, you're playing with fire.. pastor, father, friend of someone who brings their kids around... whatever. And if the man was really recovering, he wouldn't be putting himself in that position either.

Is it illegal to aid and abet a RSO? It seems that you may be just as guilty if something happens to your kids, maybe even more so, you should know better.
