XP: Strapless bra for BFing & wedding tips

I will be wearing a strapless bridesmaid dress in my sister's wedding in July. Any recommendations for a nursing-friendly bra to wear under it?

Also, any other tips on nursing in a formal strapless dress? I think I will probably just have to take it off any time DS needs to eat (at least before the ceremony and photos) so it won't get wrinkly folding the top down. But if anyone has done it before and has a better idea, please share!

  • Do you have a certain dress already as milk nursing wear.com had/has some cute nursing dresses

Yeah, my sister picked our dresses from David's Bridal. I would not have picked strapless if I got to choose. :)

  • Could you just get cups sewn in? Then you wouldn't have to worry about a bra at all.
  • Can you wear the dress from David's and then after the ceremony say later in the dinner change into a cute nursing top, or a nursing dress?  would she mind.  after the dinner and speeches, its the mingle part, would she mind?

That's not a bad idea...I will ask her. It will still be a pain earlier in the day, but it would help.

And twoitalians, I hadn't thought about getting cups sewn in. Do they do that as an alteration kind of thing? (Forgive my ignorance...)

I was in a wedding a month after DD was born. She wasn't at the wedding but I still had to pump.... I would have someone go with me to the bathroom, help unhook my dress, strapless, and then I would pump. I actually didn't think of it as an issue until I was sitting in the limo and realized the top would not just roll down. UGG.
