Got my BFP this morning only to get a low Hcg reading of 13.1. My doc said NOT to be encouraged as this was not a good sign, but part of me is looking to hold on to some hope.
Anyone have a successful pg with a beginning low hcg number? What was your number?
Re: Anyone have successful pg with low Hcg level to start?
The cycle that I had an hcg of 29.9 it did not work out - it ended in c/p.
This cycle I started with an hcg of 44.9 and the numbers have worked themselves out. Numbers under 100 can be kind of screwy but they are supposed to double in 2-3 days once they hit 100.
What everyone will tell you (and is true) is that it's not the numbers, it's the doubling that matters.
What dpo are you? The earlier you are, the more likely that the low number is just a slow starter/late implanter.
Now we're waiting on our miracle baby ... a little GIRL!!!
I had a little bleeding at 8w2d and when they took my blood they said per my hcg I should only be about 4 or 5 weeks. The u/s however showed the baby strong and healthy and right on track. Everything is still great and even the bleeding stopped. It was just a SCH. HCG does not work the same for every person or every pregnancy. I hope you get better numbers in a few days and they keep going up. Good luck.

My first beta was a 23 at 12dpo. 64 at 14dpo.
My first hcg level was 40 at around 12 DPO.
We did some routine tests to make sure the numbers were doubling, and they did/are. Yesterday we went for an ultrasound. Saw a healthy baby and heard a heartbeat! So yes, so far so good with low hcg level to start.
I know how nervous you are... because I was feeling the same way. Just have faith that all the numbers will climb! Good Luck!
