  Well I have never gone into labor on my own (induced the first time due to high BP and ended up with a c-section, then repeat cs next time) so they've always said it's not likely for me to go on my own now. I also never made any progress with either of my other pregnancies. This time, however, I had a check at my 36 week appointment and I am a fingertip dilated and 70% effaced. I was shocked and I think my OB was too because he told me what to do if I go into labor since I'll be having another c-section. I'm interested to see if I actually go on my own this time. This baby is lower than either of my other ones ever were for sure.

  I'm definitely in the "your cervix is closed, sucker!" Baby in your arms two hrs later camp.

  happy for you! my cervix was CLOSED at my 36wk appt.  I wrote that in caps because if you were to transcribe the way my OB said it, it'd be in caps.  She said it like it was extra closed. 

  Haha me too... and he said it all proud, like he was excited for me. 
  

  Yep, my doctor too. Though I was at 35 weeks 1 day when he checked me. "No dilation. You're closed." (Closed? Closed for business? What...? lol)
