Prenatal vitamins & IVF

Before starting this cycle, I discussed the meds I had already been taking with my RE.  I had to stop my allergy meds and a couple of supplements, but when I mentioned that I started taking prenatal vitamins again, they said "Good". 

Is everyone on here taking prenatals during IVF?  This is something I'll check on with my RE again, but I haven't noticed anyone mentioning it on here.  If so, does anyone know of a good vegetarian prenatal vitamin?  I'll search some of the other boards about which to take, but I still wanted to see what everyone here was taking before and during IVF.

    Yes I'm definitely taking prenatal vitamins during IVF. I've been taking them for a year and a half!  It's important to be taking folic acid before getting pregnant to help prevent neural tube defects. 
    TTC since December 2011
    Me: 29 ovulatory disorder
    DH: 30 MFI - low everything

    IUI #1: 11/5/12 BFN
    December IUI cancelled due to cyst
    IUI #2: 1/8/13 BFN

    IVF in April 2013 transferred one beautiful blast on 4/13
    Beta #1 4/22: BFP!! 33 Beta #2 54 Beta #3 70 Beta #4 83 Beta #5 105. Possible ectopic, MTX and M/C 5w4d

    FET 6/21 - Beta #1: 79 BFP!! Beta #2: 253 U/S 7/12: saw the sac! U/S #2 7/19 great heartbeat of 127!! U/S #3 heartbeat of 154! U/S #4 graduated to OB

    Yep. Prenatals are a must. Even after all my failed IUIs they would always say to stop all meds besides the prenatals.

    Me: 33 DH: 32 SA#1 low count (6mil) SA#2- now in IUI range!(30mil) Dx:MFI
    11/1- IUI#1,12/1- IUI#2, 1/2- IUI#3 all BFFN
    IVF#1. Long Lupron.ER 3/8 10R,4M,5F. ET 3/3-one 1AB, 2 frosties 5dp5dt-BFP!! Beta 3/25-794 Beta 3/27- 1794
    First u/s 4/8 saw hb. 4/22 missed mc 8w3d. d&c 4/26
    FET #1- bcp start 6/9. ET 7/12. 2 perfect blasts.5dpt-BFP!! 
    Beta 7/24 -1,239!! Beta 7/26- 2569 Beta 7/29- 7120.  U/S 8/7 hb 118! U/S 8/14 hb 143! U/S 8/20 hb 170. Graduated!! Stick baby stick!

    I take them! The brand i take is from new chapter. They are organic and gluten free. I like them and have been taking them for awhile now.

    Trying for a baby since 4/10

    DX: Infertile 6/11 Me: LPD, all other blood work clear.
    DH: low sperm motility,low count.
    Met with RE start clomid + TI + IUI 5/12= IUI cancelled due to positive Cystic Fibrosis carrier test. DH tested Neg. for Cystic Fibrosis,

    6/12 Clomid + TI +IUI=BFN 8/10 IVF consult.
    IVF #1 Started BCP 9/2 Lupron 10/11 stims 10/27 ER 11/6!! 5 eggs retreived only 1 mature. FERT report shows none made it.Cancelled cycle.

    IVF #2 BCP 11/18 Lupron 12/14

    Stims start 12/29 ER 1/8 ET 1/11 put in 1 grade B and 1 grade C. Beta: 1/20 = BFN

    IVF# 3 7/13 BFP ended in chemical pregnancy

    9/15 diagnosed with PCOS and insulin resistance gearing up for IVF# 4 Dec/ Jan

    My DH and I were at an IVF orientation last night, and the RE talked about how important pre-natals were before any kind of pregnancy! 
    Me 28 DH 30 Married 08-11-07 TTC since 07/11 HSG 01-21-13 Left FTB Seeing RE 1-28-13 RE 1-28-13 Both tubes blocked LAP surgery 2-15-13 Both tubes removed Started IVF #1 June 2013 Meds: BCP, Lupron, Gonal-F, Ovidrel, Medrol, Doxycycline
    Beta #1-BFP!!! HCG-55 Beta #2--111 Beta #3--2,825 Beta #4 22,031 1st U/S 7-29-13 Saw and heard our little sweet pea's heartbeat!! 109 bpm

    I also take prenatals and my RE has me taking an additional folic acid supplement on top of that.

    i'm still taking it. i figure it can't hurt. besides all the TTC business i was taking a womens daily vitamin anyway. 

    i don't know of a vegan formulation. the one i take is vitafol. i

    Try Vitamin Code - they make a raw, vegan prenatal vitamin. I get mine from whole foods.

    Prenatals are a must - as PPs said, you need to make sure you have enough folic acid in your system BEFORE you get pregnant to prevent neural tube defects.

    I've been taking prenatal vitamins for 2 years. If I ever do have a baby, it's going to have the *best* neural tubes in history. Stick out tongue

    My RE and OBGYN all recommend prenatal vitamins w/ folic acid. I am vegan and the brand I have been taking is rainbow light prenatal. And you need DHA a brand called Deva and it is vegan.

    Thanks for all of your help! I picked up some Rainbow Light Prenatal One and am looking into the vegan DHA.  What about my husband?  His SA was normal, but can/should I be boosting him?
