Has anyone taken their children to Disney? We are going the end of the month. We booked the trip before I found out I was pregnant. I've been so focused on the pregnancy, planning got set aside. Today somebody was telling me that you need to book a lot of things in advance (like breakfast with the characters) Now I am freaking out a little bit. Is there anything I should be doing now before we go?

Re: Any moms who have been to Disney??
Call for dining reservations ASAP. You can also do it online. We went in September and tried to book a character meal but since it was only 2 months out, everything was booked already. Are you staying on site? If so, I would make your dinner reservations now.
we had so much fun! The kids loved the water parks as much as the theme parks. We were there for a week and had 5 day park tickets, staying off park in a condo. We went to all 4 parks and both water parks, loved everything. We went to Epcot thr first day which I recommend. Then magic kingdom Tuesday including trick or treating which was amazing. Weds was animal kingdom, thurs blizzard beach in the morning, Hollywood studios in the evening. Friday we returned to mk, then went to the other water pack in the afternoon.
Can't wait to go back! Definitely bring your stroller, sunscreen, snacks, and have a plan for what rides you want to do when. Get fast passes and get to the parks before they open. I'm happy to answer any questions you have

I am going next week! Can't wait
Reservations are a must and sadly might be very difficult at this point (for anything with characters). People do cancel often so you could get lucky. They have a really great (but slow) app for the iPhone/iPad called My Disney Experience. You can book dining there or on their website too.
Calling is best, because they can check a range of dates. They recommend calling daily at 7 am to see if there were openings.
If you're not successful, there are plenty of character opportunities to get pictures throughout all of the parks each day. Good luck and congrats!
Since you are pregnant they have rides were they say if you are pregnant or have a heart condition to not ride. Hopefully you can still enjoy some of the slow rides.
I'm not too worried. I am not a huge roller coaster person anyways so I'm not missing much. Most of my favorite rides are pregnancy friendly (i.e. Jungle Cruise, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, the train that goes around the park haha!). Also a few of the roller-coasters were shut down last time I checked so not missing out there anyways. It's going to be fun!

Are you doing Disney World or Disneyland? We are also going to Disneyland at the end of the month and I made reservations for Goofy's Kitchen about a month ago. They didn't seem to be too packed but we are going on a Thursday and not a Saturday.
Good luck!
Have you checked with the cruise line about their policies for pregnant women? Most cruises don't allow you to cruise once you're past a certain point...maybe 24 weeks?
