vaccine food for thought

Do you think parents who choose not to vaccinate for non-medical reasons should be held liable if their children die of vaccine-preventable diseases?

ETA: To clarify, I mean criminally liable.

Re: vaccine food for thought

  • Not sure about that one but I did hear of a physician up here refusing to treat children who were not vaccinated. He felt it was a risk to his other patients who were immunocompromised.

Oh excellent post. I believe you can be charged for failing to properly secure your child in an appropriate way in the vehicle. I don't think not vaccinating for non medical reasons is much different.

  • I want to say yes but I'm kinda iffy about it. Just out of curiosity what religion is against vaccination and what's the reasoning? If you are lying about religious exemption then yes I think there needs to be accountability.
  • Lurking but no I do not think they should have criminal charges brought against them. Most people who don't vaccinate are just scared the vaccine will hurt their child they aren't being lazy. The people obviously love their child and charging them with a
