Dh has a cold

in March 2013 Moms
Baby will be a week old tomorrow and Dh came down with a bad cold today. I'm a nervous wreck that my daughter will catch it. He's staying away from her now, but what about the day or two before he had symptoms. Am I being paranoid?

    Same here. . Just have him wash his hands like crazy. Also i would say as limited contact with dd as possible. We were able to steer clear so far. Plus a can of Lysol may be your new best friend.

    No you're not being paranoid. I had the same thing recently. DH had what he tried to convince himself were allergies but ended up being a cold. So he did handle the baby more than he should have during that time and at two weeks LO caught that cold and he

    Just wash hands a lot, try not to let them get too close, etc. The day we got home from the hospital, DS1 came down with a 104 fever. We were wrecks, too, but thankfully DS2 didn't catch anything.

    I was sick all last week. I had a cold or respiratory something and am breast feeding. I was so worried about my dd getting sick but thankfully she didn't. I couldn't take anything but Tylenol, gargle with salt water and vitamin c. lots of hand washing,
