Today I was kind of feeling a little down, I was feeling ugly and unhappy because I had nothing nice to wear out. Nothing fits. I was just unhappy about my apperance. So, today a package came for me, and this marks the begining of my excited jabberness( not a real word) about my maternity clothes experience...
..........Once upon a time..........JUST KIDDING!![]()
but, seriously keep going if your brave , I talk alot.
So I have been looking for some inexpensive, maternity clothes, because my regular clothes just do not fit anymore. I was a very "curvacious" women before pregnancy, I think i wore a size 17. I had thick thighs and a big bottom, No complaints here, but just that it was so difficult to find nice fitting maternity clothes.I've tried Ross, Walmart, Target, Motherhood Maternity, and various online stores.
About a month ago I finally caved in and spent $40 on one pair of jeggings from Motherhood ma4ternity, don't get me wrong, I LOVE them. very com4fortable, but I had a hard time spending $40 on them. It seemed like to much. I then decided I needed more maternity clothes because one pair of pants wasn't going to be enough.
I then decided to order 2 maternity tights, 3 maternity tank tops and one pair of maternity jeans online from walmart( none of the walmarts carry maternity clothing in store over here, but i remember they used to which sucks now.) for a total of $45 I was skeptical and worried and my package came and I was unsatisfied. I like to wear skinny jeans, the pants i recieved were way to big on the legs and tight on the waist. I ordered them in a XL( the same size as my other jeggings from Motherhood Maternity.) The tights were okay, there tights, there is not much to look for when buying them. The tanks were to big and not matenity tanks, they were normal tanks but with a bigger fit. I decided I would grow into the tanks and since the tights were okay I would keep them. However, the pants were going back. ( There still sitting in my closet, darn procrastination.)
I've seen a lot of you ladies talk about Old Navy's maternity clothes, I just never looked into them. I some how convinvced myself that they were going to be an expensive place or not carry my size.
We'll last week I decided to just look online because, one pair or jeggings wasn't doing it and one of you ladies had metioned a 30% off coupon. So i was like, "Might as well". I found a pair of skinny maternity cords for $5.97($4.18 W/ coupon), Skinny maternity jeans for 20.00( $14.00 W/ coupon), 3 maternity tanks for $10 ea.($7.00 ea. W/ coupon) plus, a pair if black flip flops, for when the dreaded feet swelling starts to arrive $2.50( no discount, coupn exclusion.) Everything came in today, 4days later with free standard shipping because I spent over $50. But, with the coupon code I recived about $17 dollars off my order. The total in the end came out to, $41( sorry, if none of my math makes sense, im just doing rough esitmates, and rounding.).
Everything fits great, the jeans need to be taken in on the bottom, which I can do myself, or go to a tailor for less the 5 dollars. It was well worth the money and if you guys have yet to check out Old Navy, then you need to go get your butt on the website(just kidding). But, seriously check it out, I've never been so happy with my order. I am beyond exctatic.
I also just wanted to share my great news with you lovely ladies!!!
P.S If my spelling, grammar, and puncutation is off , i apologize im just so happy. and im seriously sorry it is soooooo loooong, and if you made it this far, enjoy yourself a peice of virtual cake & -coffee--->![]()
