Monkey (Knockoff Sophie) SMELLS!?

Okay, I bought the squeaky monkey "knockoff Sophie" at Target... and it smells. If DS plays with it, then he smells like funky rubber. Honestly, it reminds me of what a condom smells like. (GAGGG) It's GROSS! Does anyone else have it, and have this problem? I wash it every time... but it doesn't work. I am about to toss it!

And now that I look at the title, it looks like I have a problem with a "smelly monkey". YIKES. Totally not the case... haha.

The one we got smells, too. Sean doesn't play with it much. I've wondered if that's the reason.

Ours smells, but not as strongly as it did when I first got it. I've washed it multiple times, and DD will gnaw on it for a few minutes at a time. So I guess it doesn't bother her too much. But, yeah, WTF? Why does it stink?&n
