My husband and I are expecting our first child September 21, and have yet to let the world know that we are indeed pregnant! This is mainly because we want to tell our family members face to face...which is in two weeks! My favorite thing about the "secret"; there is some speculation because I haven't been drinking alcohol (thanks to Lent I can keep covert). But every day I get "you aren't drinking, are you pregnant?" a simple sarcastic remark of "oh, you know it." gets people off your back; along with wearing sweaters baggy shirts I have actually been told how "skinny" I was getting if only they could see me when I take off the sweaters
....
Anyway I was just wondering how many of our group of September mommies are still keeping it hush hush...
Re: Is anyone still keeping the secret?
We are out to family and close friends but it's not "Facebook official" yet. We're going to the doc today, so once everything looks good, we'll make the announcement.
My work knows, but hubby will tell everyone tomorrow.
I haven't told work and we haven't gone public on FB... though I'm not sure we really will.
I'll tell work next week. Everyone else who needs to know (family, friends) does

I'm not good at keeping these kind of secrets! MIL, 2 close friends and my sisters knew right away. After the first appointment, which was around the Superbowl, I started telling more people.
I made it FB official a couple weeks ago.

Our family knows and some friends know. I'll tell other friends as I talk to them and it comes up. Our church congregation doesn't know yet either though I'm sure some suspect it. Of course an 8-moth-old dd throws off a lot of suspicions.

Only 3 people at work know and those three people are all in different departments. My contract is up for renewal and I don't want any chance of my pregnancy affecting the decision to renew or my salary (hopefully a higher one). I know it's
