Finally frickin contractions and then nothingness

Woke up at 2:30am with painful but tolerable contractions. I had the feeling they would stop so I tried to sleep and didnt worry. Woke up an hour later with the same contractions and starving. I talked myself out of making something to eat and laid back down. Contractions stopped. My niece is having her 2nd bday party tomorrow and I have to pick DH up Sunday at the airport. I fully expect to have to run to the hospital in the middle of the party and bring half of the guests with me. I'm going to be the party pooper! :. Also DH will have to hitch a ride to the hospital and all of his family have the flu. Why don't babies have better timing?

    Ugh I'm right there with you! I had mildly painful contractions start around 6:30 last night and they started to get more frequent. But by the time I went to bed (thinking I better get some sleep if this is going to happen) they were gone. My family just

    You better get that baby out of there before Sunday. I wish labor wasnt such a dang mystery. Seems now that I'm trying to keep mine in until at least Sunday night I'm getting random contractions.
