I don't switch between formulas because DS stomach can't handle it.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

Similac Sensitive, and yes, we do switch it up depending on what's on sale. Costco's brand is the most affordable I've seen. If I could afford it, I'd buy the Earth's Best.
My LO had horrible gas so i used gentlease by enfamil. I haven't changed because I am scared if I do the gas will return, and I am just not willing to risk that.
We use Similac Advance. I would have switched to BJ's or Costco brand except we go camping in the summer and I have no intentions of washing bottles and needed the convenience of the ready to feed 8 oz bottles. BJs and Costco don't make those.
Similac Soy...we started out with Similac Advance and he was spitting up alot and had alot of gas..then we went to Similac Sensitive and still had gas issues. We are doing pretty good now with the soy - less gas but still a bit of spit up but he's a happy spitter
2. No. The hosp gave us Enfamil when they said we needed to supplement due to a little jaundice - and the smell was horrific. So when the Pedi told us to keep supplementing a week later bc her weight was still way too low, he gave us Similac and we've just stuck with it. It still stinks IMO (esp when she burps - yikes) but it's not as bad as the Enfamil.
1. Target Up & Up (Blue label, comparable to Similac Advance) or Meijer Baby (blue label, store brand, also comparable to Similar Advance)
2. Yes. I buy two different types of a store brand that is comparable to Similic Advance. I checked the ingredients on both and they're identical. It just depends on what store I'm at when I need formula. DS hasn't had any issues from switching the brands...and it's not like I do it for every can. I tend to buy 2-3 cans at a time.
target up & up the purple one for gassy babies. Tried similac initially & she was gassy so tried gentlease & she screamed & hted it so we went to parents choice gentle & since I've recently boycotted walmart I switched to target brand with no complications!
We've tried them all, Similac, Enfamil and Good Start. I pretty much buy whatever I have the most coupons for. I only switch her on a monthly basis. I honestly think Enfamil is the best. It keeps her fuller longer. She didn't have any reflux of poop issues with any of them though.
Right now we use the Costco brand...the ingredient list is EXACTLY the same as Similac, and they even come from the same factory in Ireland...BUT for some reason, the Costco brand has started to constipate him, and I had a small can of Similac, and used that for 3 days, and he had NO problem whatsoever...so I'm going to try the Similac again and see if that relieves his poo issues.
After BFing went horribly awry, we tried Similac Advance Early Shield, then Similac Sensitive...but she had horrible gas & diarrhea, so we had to put her on Similac Alimentum for her milk protein intolerance. She was fine with human milk protein, but not cow's milk (different than lactose intolerance). Alimentum has been pretty good - she still spits up a little, but her gassiness & fussiness are gone.
2. We've switched formulas before to save money and it was a BAD idea. It upset LO's stomach.
This is what happened w/ us, except we use Similac Advance. It's been super convenient, though. We buy the 8oz bottles for when we're out and about, making life much easier.

2. We've switched numerous times. The hospital had DS on Similac, we changed to Emfamil.. I forget which one first, but it gave him such bad gas. We switched to the Enfamil Gentlease. We still were overly happy with it. We tried soy...wanted to go organic, but he seemed to be constipated on it. So yeah, we've tried a number on brands and types. We might still switch one more time to an organic one that we can control the amount of DHA. Dh doesn't like the fact the the current DHA found in all formulas but this other brand is made from chemically altered seaweed. No one knows what those chemicals will do in the long run. The one that you can control the DHA, is derived from egg protein.

1. Heinz
2. We went through issues with Enfamil, Nestle and Similac to find out that she will only take Heinz (last one we tried)
1. What type of formula do you use? Kirkland (Costco)
2. Do you switch between brands of formula? No. I've read it's hard on their tummies.

1. Similac Advanced.
2. We didn't switch. Started with that because we got samples and he did really well so we didn't try anything else.

1.) Enfamil Premium Lipil
2.) No, every time we've tried to switch to something different DD has had major issues. I think she has a pretty sensitive tummy.
Good luck!

1. Goodstart Gentle Plus. We use to use the similar one in Enfamil but switched to this since it has whey protein and less sugar.

Similac Isomil
We don't switch. She used to be on Up&Up gentle but she could not tolerate it. When we switched to soy we decided to forego generic as well.
