Shower dress from Target?

Has anyone bought a dress for their shower from Target? I am still searching for a dress to wear to my shower and Target has quite a selection for decent prices. They are solid color and I like the teal ones, but that is one of the colors for my shower and I do not want to be matchy-matchy. I am having a boy so would the solid blue be fine or too cheesy? I would love to wear a neutral color with a blue accent. Any opinions or ideas? TIA.

Re: Shower dress from Target?

  • Are you talking about the teal one with the sorta tie on the side? I saw one like that,it was cute.Theres also a maxi dress with very short sleeves and a tan skinny belt that is teal with a navy bottom that was also cute.Im having a boy and thought I needed to wear blue of some sort.Im having a saints themed shower though. I still wanted to show my " boy power!".However,I ended up getting what looked cutest on my body. Most maternity sections are very limited.Target has the best selection for my body. With all that being said, I chose the liz lange pink and ivory floral swing type knee length dress with pockets and paired it with an ivory merona quarter length sweater.I will be wearing my tan Nine West wedges(for a little while..lol) So I don't think you need to matchy matchy but I do believe you should look fabulous! You are the guest of honor and everyone will be looking at your radiance! By. The way my nails will be baby blue.

This. My dress that I wore was from Target. It was comfortable and I liked it.

  • I got my dress at Sears. I'm not usually a Sears shopper but was there because the mall I went to had NO maternity stores. I got a cute pink dress and it was 50% off! Cant beat that!! And the style of the dress I will be able to wear it after to hide my baby pudge this summer.

I agree with this. I didn't even buy anything new for my shower this weekend. It's pretty chilly and snowing in PA, so I'm just going to wear a pair of black pants and one of the semi dressy shirts that still actually fits me!

  • I found an adorable dress on the Motherhood website that wasactually on sale! I think their clothes are a tad overpriced and have been shopping mainly online at Old Navy or Target for all my maternity clothes. This dress looked super cute online and I crossed my fingers it would be just as cute in person and it is! I am wearing this in my maternity pics next week and think I will wear it to my shower next month. I am not currently working so it is nice to have something dressy that I look cute in!

  • I bought the dress I wore for my shower at Target! It's a Liz Lange black 3/4 sleeve relatively tight but super comfy dress. It was easy to dress up or down and I felt so sexy and beautiful in it. Good luck!
