So, I'm just curious to know how many of us are avoiding these dreaded "badges of honor."
So far, I'm 31 weeks and haven't seen one yet. I've gained around 38 lbs so far. However, I also know that they can come as late as the day you deliver. I'm not out of the woods yet, but I sure hope this lasts!
Re: Stretch Marks. Who's getting them and who's not?
Can't wait to meet baby Liam Paul!

I didn't get any with my first and haven't so far this time. I am always told they are mainly genetic.
Instead, I get good ol' vericose veins. Gross. I now have 3 on my legs.
ETA- how are you feeling, Casie?!

Over-40 parents...what we lack in vigor, we make up for with cunning.
Feeling much better, my friend! I just posted an update, but basically Dr said that as long as I can keep my BP down with periodic rest breaks, I'm doing good.
Interesting...What a perk!
But doesn't less collagen mean less bounce back afterwards?
I haven't seen any new ones yet. With my son I didn't get them until 7 or 8 months. It would be nice if I didn't get any new ones with this pregnancy, but my stomach is far from picture perfect after my pregnancy with DS, plus my scar from having my second ectopic removed so if I get some more marks it's not a big deal.
Also they do fade quite a bit with time, and I was able to still wear a bikini eventually after having my son.

Well I have been covered in them since I was 10. Literally, we even get them on our shoulders and forearms in our family before we are a teenager, must be hereditary idk. So getting upset over them is ridiculous and waste of time to me, accept who you are, you're still beautiful, no one cares.
All of mine are so pale sometimes you can't even see them unless you stare close and I'm moving so that the light catches them. But I have noticed lately at the very bottom of my stomach I have like two that are turning a little red. Like I said, I couldn't give a you know what.
Same here, I got them back in high school when I lost weight but no new ones yet. I've been using Palmer's tummy butter. I've gained 22lbs
At 27 weeks and a weight gain of 22 pounds, I haven't seen anything yet. (knocking on wood). Fingers crossed that I don't see any!
My BFP Chart
TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!
Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!
TTC #1 since May 2010. BFP #1 - 5/31/10; m/c on 7/22/10
Started seeing RE in August 2011
5 IUIs: BFN; IVF #1 - Success! BFP - 7/25/12
My mom has terrible vericose veins but I haven't seem to have gotten those yet either. But who knows. I have heard that they can appear in the last weeks of pregnancy so we will see...
None, hoping I'm as lucky as last time (gained 24lbs). On a steady weight gain path so far this time too, probably will end up closer to +30 so we'll see if they stay away.
