Hi all! I'm on baby #2, had horrible sickness the first time around.. (threw up over 100 times) and I'm not feeling so hot this time around either.... egh.
Last time Ensure drinks helped me a ton, sometimes when I felt like I couldn't eat they were really easy to take down on my stomach.
My friend said Rice Cakes helped her out quite a bit. I just purchased caramel one's, I dipped them in cool whip. I would have to agree and they'll continue to be on my list of foods to get that I can stomach.
What's helped you?
Re: This helped my nausea, what's helped yours?

I also started wearing sea-bands and taking b-6 yesterday. I take 25mg twice a day with breakfast and dinner. It is definitely helping me better especially after I eat.
I am having so much luck with the Psi Bands. I'm like a new person. Good luck!
The best thing that I have found is to eat. All.Day.Long.
I try to make as much of this healthy....but when something else sounds good, I have that.

I hav'nt really thrown up but I as well have rolling nausea in the morning & evening. Sipping lemon water works the best for me.
I am just over 10 weeks and so far: Lemon drops and other hard candies, water with lemon in it, sprite, saltine crackers, eating small bland meals, and a lot of fruit seems to help me. I work the night shift and I find the late nights/early mornings are when I am the most nauseous...yay
At least I feel better on my days off and I am starting to be able to keep more food down and more food sound good again. For a while I wasn't able to eat meat, especially red meat.

I'm in the night shift frenzy as well... Still haven't found my fix just yet... trying to eat more times a day than the usual two I find time for. My cravings change everyday, making buying ahead impossible.
Hope things keep mellowing out for ya!!!
I am trying ginger infused water.
Boil about 4 cups of water.
Slice up some ginger root (about 2-3 chunks per cup of water). Place in a tea strainer and let it sit in the boiling water for about 5-7 minutes (like a tea bag).
Add 1 tsp. of brown sugar per cup of water and a few drops of lime juice to kill any overly sweet flavors.
Let it cool in the fridge if you prefer a cold drink.
I have no vomiting but pretty constant nausea all day long, so just having something to sip on helps me cope, and I know you are supposed to be drinking lots of water during pregnancy. I have also had some relief with smoothies. If you make your own at home you can add the ginger root to the food processor/blender.
eating all day!
ginger for me too. Reeds crystallized ginger or Chimes ginger chews any time i feel queasy. my purse is stocked with them.
I had horrible nausea with my first pregnancy that lasted until I delivered. I was on Phenergan, then Zofran for the duration. It stopped me from throwing up, but didn't always work on the nausea.
This time I have a new OBGYN that recommended Unisom and B6 before bed. Since Zofran hasn't made a dent in the nausea this time, I tried it. I cannot believe how good I feel. As long as I take the meds before bed, I am almost 100% nausea-free. It's a lifesaver.
I can't eat any meat or dairy without being sick. So basically all I am eating right now is vegetable soup with lots of snacks during the day. My favorite snacks right now are: fruit (sliced green apples, banana, grapes, cherries, blackberries), English muffins toasted until extra dry, coconut water, apple sauce, graham crackers, Popsicles and hard candy.
This is my first pregnancy and I found out I was pregnant because of all the nausea. I have been sick since the day I was supposed to have my last period. Here's what helps for me:
Ginger, ginger, ginger! I take a ginger supplement (can be found in the organic section of your grocery store or at any whole foods store) and drink ginger ale or ginger tea. Starbucks has a really good ginger tea that tastes like chamomile tea, so it's not spicy.
I also buy those popsicles that come in plastic tubes (I think they're called flav-or-ice). Cold foods seem to help with my nausea and popsicles are low in calories, so they won't make you feel as guilty as a pint of Ben and Jerry's.
Make sure you're drinking plenty of water. I have a hard time drinking enough water because it makes me feel sicker, but when I have enough throughout the day, I feel much better.
Several people have suggested hard mints. A friend of mine gave me "peppermints," but they turned out to be strawberry flavored. They just made me hungry. So I can't endorse mints just yet.
I have been eating a lot of cough drops because I have a sinus infection from hell and can't take cough syrup. They help with my nausea and are kind of like mints.
There are two types of unisom. The gelcaps are the same as Benadryl but the tablets are a different drug. It's diphenhydramine succinate, which is what you want to help with the ms. I don't know if its available in another product or not... Maybe you could order from amazon? I don't even know if they sell unisom...
