Might want to wait and see what the hormones do to your sweat glands. Last time I definitely was sweating more than usual. The upside is that since having my daughter I sweat far less than I did before pregnancy.
there are plenty of options out there that are completely natural - salt crystals etc. Neal's Yard Remedies also make a deo that is 100% natural....IF chemicals are your worry?
There are all kinds of harmful chemicals in deodorants and antiperspirants. I figure I'll forego using it during the baby's early development stages. I'll let you know if I get any complaints. ;
Just meant to start a discussion about this topic with a little bit of humor but thanks for taking the time to read and express your opinion about my stupid post.

For the record, you didn't really start a discussion. You made a random statement with no explanations.

Agreed! Had you elaborated a bit saying it was because you are pg, you may have received different comments...

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

Yes I think we all are. But it was a very random statement you made. In another you said that deodorant contains harmful chemicals so had you posted that THAT was the reason you were not going to use it anymore you probably would have started the discussion you were aiming for.

So much for humor. Do any of you have any thoughts about the harmful chemicals in deodorants?
I didn't know there were any... I only have heard that I should stop acne meds with salicylic acid...
What is bad in deodorant?
I could never stop using it.. I would not smell so pretty!

In what way did you sound sarcastic or funny with what you said? You said it very seriously without any explanation, and of course we think it's nasty because BO IS nasty!
There is always going to be some nutbag, granola doctor that tells you your baby will be born with five ears if you continue to do....xyz
If it was so horrible, all of our doctors would warn us, there would be a warning label on the packaging, and it would be common knowledge.
Body odor does not necessarily come from not using deodorant, a lot has to do with one's diet and not washing regularly. Some people may sweat more than others. Seriously, I'm gonna go ahead and see what happens this weekend w/o deodorant. Maybe our bodies would adjust to not using it.
Re: I've decided to stop using deodorant...
Thanks for sharing?
I for one can't imagine not using deodorant, certain tops make me sweat like a pig even in cold weather.
