Body odor does not necessarily come from not using deodorant, a lot has to do with one's diet and not washing regularly. Some people may sweat more than others. Seriously, I'm gonna go ahead and see what happens this weekend w/o deodorant. Maybe our bodies would adjust to not using it.
I shower everyday and I'm not saying I would stink on a daily basis or anything but on days when you may sweat more than others because of a hot flash or cleaning or being in a boardroom full ofpeople, ddeodorant is pretty damn important. ..

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

I get the whole not wanting the chemicals. I haven't used "regular" deodorant in years. But PLEASE at least wear something. BO is seriously one of the most disgusting smells (and I believe that EVERYONE starts to stink after a while). I use Lavanilla healthy deodorant from Sephora. For the sake of everyone around you, you should try it.
Just because you don't want the chemicals, doesn't mean you shouldn't use anything at all.
Generally pretty healthy. I eat a lot of fruits and veggies, usually steel cut oatmeal for breakfast, whole grains. I hate that I can't have as much fish as normally would. I can't remember the last time I had fast food and haven't had soda in years.

Do you have your own pond out back where you raise your fish?

Not sure what you mean? I buy my fish at a fish market. But have avoided eating as much as I normally would. Is it a problem that I eat healthy food?

Seriously? What is this website? It looks like a free Geocities website I made in 1996.
I would not consider this a credible source.
It lists talc as a carcinogen. Um, okay, that's literally BABY POWDER.

True story - yesterday I forgot to put on deodorant. Thanks to my intense sense of smell all I could smell yesterday was my own funk. OP - I do not suggest this.

I have to say that I made a conscious decision years ago not to live my life in fear.
I know it's especially hard when you're pregnant because you feel the responsibility for a life developing within you in addition to your own, but I really think it's important not to get caught up in all of the what-ifs.
Every time you turn on the news you will find new studies and reports linking something common to something terrible. I'm pretty sure everything, including breathing air, has been linked to cancer at this point.
Unfortunately, in this life, there are a lot of unknowns. I respect your choice to make decisions based on whatever research you feel comfortable with, but I personally choose to life my life without paralyzing fear of so many things, pregnant or not.

Yes. I spent my last pregnancy pretty much in constant worry, and it just wasn't enjoyable. I mean, of course there are things you should stay away from, but you shouldn't look into every single little thing you do, because somewhere you are going to find someone saying that it is wrong.

You're absolutely right. There are probably things that you ARE avoiding because you are pregnant that you might not have before. For some reason, I just feel as though the chemicals in deodorant might be as harmful as say mercury in fish. If so much of what's inside your body comes out through your armpits, why wouldn't stuff easily get in through there as well? I will definitely try a couple of different things that were suggested here.

Bwahahaha!! Because that is not how it works.
This.
And what else besides sweat is coming out through your armpits? Now I'm just concerned.
Honestly, when I'm pregnant I live my life. I'm not going to go searching for every little thing that might have a minuscule impact. That's a good way to drive yourself crazy.

You don't think things can get in where things come out?
Obviously, some things can be absorbed through the skin. But just because you sweat from your armpits it doesn't make that a more susceptible location on the body.
You don't think things can get in where things come out?
I'm sorry but this sounds so ridiculous. Obviously things can get in where thing s get out! We are all pregnant arent we? Penis goes in, sperm goes all the way in... baby comes out. Your nose oxygen goes in, snot comez out! But we are talkinh about armpits here! If you are that concerned about harmful toxins and such, you would wear a mask outside or a hazmat suit because you might breath in or your pores might absorb toxins!
