  My MW told me that the cheap stuff is fine and to eat as much as you want, it is good for you. She said the more expensive "white tuna" can have a much higher mercury level, and should only be eaten in limited amounts.

  I limit my intake to two times a week. If you aren't eating it everyday I say go ahead! The concern is mercury levels.

  I eat tuna. I just count it as one of my servings of fish for the week.

  It is recommended to consume the chunk light variety during pregnancy, rather than the solid white variety.

  I was told it was because of risk of autism.  Don't know why and never heard of it before the other day when a friend of mine told me about it.
