Silliest Quirks...For the Silliest Reasons...

So I know we've all posted about quirks before...But what are some of your reasons for those quirks of yours...

For instance, I can't sit down to go to the bathroom without looking into the toilet first....Because when I was in HS a friend of mine had a chipmunk get into her house, and I found him, in the toliet bowl...Totally just hanging out (he was captured and released back into the wild.) Scared the living daylights out of me. So I never sit down without checking for chipmunks. 

 What's yours?

    every night when i set my alarm clock i have to like triple check that i indeed set it for the right time. I have never slept through my alarm but for some reason i am a little OCD about it.

    I also check the toliet! My aunt had a garter snake coiled in the toliet once. I wasn't even there and they live 3 hours aways but it scared the crap ( pun intended) out of me.

    When I do laundry, my shirts HAVE to be turned right-side out before they're hung or folded. It drives me nuts when my mom does my laundry (she stays at our house 2 nights a week bc she is our child care and lives OOT) and leaves stuff inside out. I appreciate the help but do it right, woman, before my head explodes!

    ETA: I forgot the "why" part... I guess I just like to be able to see the design/logo so I know exactly what I'm putting on before I realize it's not what I thought and have to refold or rehang it.

    whatthefuck?  Actually I have sort of similar.  I look up at the ceiling in the public bathrooms.  My friend once had a snake fall into her stall.  A little scarier than the chipmunk, but just as strange.

    Whenever I take a shower, I have to do everything in the exact same order.  Shampoo, wash face while shampoo sits a min, rinse shampoo, conditioner, shave and body wash, rinse conditioner.  Then when I get out of the shower I have to do the same routine every day: face moisturizer, lotion, brush hair, makeup, deoderent.  It seriously messes up my day if anything goes out of order.

    I will forever be looking up in places with drop ceilings now. That is terrifying.

    All my clothes have to be facing the same way when hung in the closet and are separated by color then again by style. Also I hate hate hate wire hangers and I cannot hang up clothes on anything but white plastic ones. I don't know why I'm like this!
    And I absolutely cannot drink from a can or open it until I've tapped the drink part 7 times before opening. I'm so weird
