I have never felt my daughter move above my belly button. I routinely feel her move close to my bladder and low in my pelvis near my bottom. At my 20 week u/s I was told my placenta was anterior, but I figured I would EVENTUALLY feel her in front or higher up. They told me that i may feel a little less b/c of this. I plan on asking at my next OB visit. I am 30 weeks and gained about 24lbs so far. I don't know if that factors in or not. Anyone else have this sensation? I guess I always thought I would be feeling her more in front by now.

I was/am the same way!! I would always joke that I felt like she was practicing her flutter kicks (swimming) down low. When I first started feeling her move, she was very low and stayed that way for a long time. I had asked about the location of my uterus and my OB said it looks normal. In the recent weeks, I have noticed more kicks on my side and parallel with my belly button. But the majority is still low!
I have also started to notice at times her hit what I think is a nerve that shoots an interesting feeling "down there". Very strange!! I hope it is nothing to worry about. I wouldn't worry about it - but always a good question to ask your Dr! Enjoy the feelings!!
