Are the presents from Santa wrapped at your house? My DH & I had different experiences with this growing up and we're trying to find a compromise.
I told him I'd see what was more common with you ladies? I would've done a clicky poll but for some reason it's not working.
Re: wrapping presents?
For me, all presents were wrapped regardless.
I think my mom may have told me once when I started to question it that Santa gave her the presents to wrap.
I will say, as a child, I would have been really upset if all of my presents weren't wrapped!
My Santa presents werent wrapped. They were usually the oddly shaped presents that would have been a pain to wrap up. This year hazel is getting her stocking of unwrapped things and then a broom and a grocery cart from Santa, so I won't wrap those, but I will put bows on them so they look festive.
Our Santa present was usually the really big thing (a dollhouse, kitchen, bike, etc.) and wasn't wrapped. If it was something small in a box, then it got wrapped. I think my mom used different paper for the "Santa" presents that were wrapped vs the ones from them. I figured the whole thing out by first grade though, so I don't really remember a lot about Santa.

We're not really doing "santa" this year because DS is still young (though he is getting xmas gifts separate from birthday gifts...they're just from family rather than santa.)
Growing up we did not wrap gifts from santa. My parents would lay them out in front of the fireplace after we went to bed, and we would discover the toys in the morning.
But if the presents are to be wrapped at all, I think it's fine to wrap them ahead of time.

Gifts from mom and dad = wrapped.
Gifts from Santa = unwrapped, set up, displayed.
I loved it this way! It was like walking into a toy shop when we woke up in the morning!
