Burping?

Hey mamas. Quick question.. Do you burp your baby after bf? I bf both of my other kids and was told that there is not real need like you would if you were feeding from a bottle. The reason why I ask because my now 3 week old baby has a lot of gas. He tummy is sore at least a couple times a day :(

    I definitely have to burp my EBF LO. She's very gassy!

    We burp after each feeding. He is a very gassy baby as well.

    I burp them and the burps come out soo much easier than after bottle feeding.

    I burp LO when we switch sides and at the end.

    I burped DS when he got cranky at the breast and at the end.  At around 4 months I didn't need to do it very much any more.

    I attempt to burp. Sometimes we get a good deep man burp sometimes we don't. Many times she will burp herself.
