They told me to take ambien... I was out cold within minutes, haha. GL!!!
I was offered an ambien when I checked in to the hospital with DS, but turned it down. Yeah I was regretting it a few hours later when I couldn't stay asleep. Lucky for me by the time I even scheduled my induction I was already so far over due that they scheduled me for the next day, so I didn't know it was coming.
Good luck!

Ummm..lay there until hopefully your eyes shut. DIdn't really work for me. Make sure to eat before you go to bed. Once they juice you up with meds they won't let you eat until the baby is out. I ate at dinner and went in for my induction at 6am. I was starving by the time I had Z.

I definitely made sure to eat a decent meal before coming to the hospital and I'm still hungry so I can't imagine if I hadn't!!

Yea you don't. I was 37 weeks pregnant with pre-e with my first. The night before my next doctor appointment, I just KNEW. I knew my BP had been off too much, I knew my protein count kept going up, I just KNEW it was it. I didn't sleep at all, I got up at like 2am (appt was at 9) and watched TV until it was time to shower and leave. I made sure my husband packed all our hospital stuff in the car, and I was a ball of nerves driving there.
I was right. And it wasn't even scheduled! They induced me at 3pm that afternoon, they gave me a pill to help me sleep that night in L&D.
You just don't.

I didn't sleep the two nights before my induction. They gave me ambien the night before (in the hospital). It was horrible! It made me hallucinate and I was crazy all night.
I know that isn't the case for everyone but I had no idea that was a side effect! I'll be declining it for sure if I end up getting induced this time.
