Re: FFFC

  • MY bf want me to not go back to work in January. I hate that idea. I'm such a sh*tty SAHM. This place is a mess, and all I do is bump for his first three naps of the day. I hate laundry, dishes, and vacuuming. I love staying home with Jovanni but I hate the part of keeping up with housework, and I dont see me getting any better at it. Also I suck at cooking.

I think of taking care of my baby like keeping my Tamagachi alive, like there's a little bar that decreases when he's hungry, sleepy or poopy and it gradually fills back up when I help with any of those things. Of course my Tamagachi died in a pile of its own poop, but I took a lesson from that.

Holy sh!t, this is the funniest thing I've heard all week. Thank you!

  • I have a feeling I'm going to hear it about this one, but here goes...

We had to pick some stuff up at my dad's (8 blocks away) in our truck because it wouldn't fit in the jeep.  The car seat base won't work in the truck so we had to put LO's car seat in the back seat unrestrained.  It was only 8 blocks, and we live in a really tiny town (like 500 people tiny), but I still feel guilty about it.  Bad thing was, the next day we were going there for Sunday dinner and had to do it again because somehow the only key we have for the jeep fell off my keychain in dad's driveway the night before.  Parent (and key chain) fail...

OMG!  This made my day!  I needed a good laugh!

Here's mine:  I love my dog, I do.  In fact, before Bauer was born my miniature dachshund was my baby and we considered him our child.  Now, with a LO, I have little patience for a high energy dog.  We used to run with our dog right up until I delivered and now, I have no time to even get out for a walk except on the weekends.  And seriously, my dog decides he needs to be let out whenever I sit down to feed the baby...it's like he's passive aggressive!  Last night, he jumped in the pack and play and snapped at me when I tried to pick him up!  I have such terrible guilt that I don't time for my "first baby" and he has gone from being the center of attention to "just the dog."

This is one of the stupidest things I've ever read.  Also, illegal.  If I knew what city you lived in, I'd call the cops and report you.  Do you not realize how fuuckking stupid this was?  And you did it TWICE??

You know you can secrure the carseat without the base, right?

And if you were both riding in the truck...why not have your DH drive the truck, and then you drive the jeep with the baby?

If it's only 8 blocks, why not just walk with the baby?

How terrible would you have felt if someone rear-ended you at a stop light, or ran through a stop sign and hit the side of yor car, and your precious little adorable baby was injured or killed???  They are called "accidents" for a reason, you don't know when they are going to happen.  And the vast majority of car accidents happen within a few miles of your own home.

I just...can't believe that you did this, and then wrote about it online.

In my defense, I'm pretty sure it would have been less safe walking a baby in the dark down the street.  Also like I said, our town is teeny tiny, no stop lights, gravel roads.  I don't think we saw 1 car on the way there.  I know it wasn't a good idea, it's not going to happen again.  I will say, I have some great memories riding in my dad's lap "driving" his truck...

I put DS in bed with me the other morning after my DH left for work. LO peed through his diaper and clothes. He soaked that area of the bed. It was my DH's side, so I haven't changed the sheets yet. I also never told my DH. He has no idea he's been laying in pee. DS has been so fussy during the day, and I'm trying to squeeze grad school homework in, so I haven't had time to change the sheets. :/

  • I gave my 2 year old pumped BM for DS because I forgot to get milk.

I want to find our dogs new homes. Since the 2nd baby came and we moved to a smaller place with no yard it's really hard taking care of all of us and the dogs.

It's either flame FREE or flame FULL depending on the person and their opinions I've noticed! What about the person who took her kid out because they were screaming?? I don't think they got very flamed? Yes you can restrain it with the seat belt and its a small town and I too have memories of driving on my dads lap... Idk if I would do the same but, I'm not going to flame the girl... Unless it was on the highway rushhour or some crazy busy city...

agreed. Yeah it wasn't the smartest thing to do, but it is what it is. Nothing happened and she clearly recognizes that it wasn't the right thing to do, so lets move on.

    B. freaking S.  YOU DID IT TWICE ALREADY!  Accidents are called accidents because you don't MEAN for them to happen.  A deer was INCHES away from plowing into the side of my car at dusk one night.  Thank goodness she stopped but seriously, INCHES.  Nothing I could have done to prevent that.
