I agree, I like mbenit. And I try not to lol when she gets picked on. But I know what they're talking about and I think she'd do herself a favor if she owned it. Every personality has a niche.

I would own it if I felt it fit me but I can't relate. Maybe it is my lack of Winnie the Pooh knowledge.

My uncle is a retired NOPD police officer. He has lots of interesting stories. He retired shortly after Katrina.

I don't blame him. He has my utmost respect. It is hard for good cops to stay good when they are in a pile of ____.

That is the gist of many of his stories. They're pretty sad, actually.

+1 (or 2, I guess). I have always liked mbenit. We don't agree on everything but who wants to surround themselves with people that are always agreeing with them.

If you don't like oral then I think it may be because of your partner. I've had it from a partner that sucked and I didn't enjoy it at all, then there's DH, who is the freaking master at oral...I will just leave it at that.

I had a police officer try to put his hand down my shorts when I was 15 and had been pulled over. His other hand was on my little breasts. I kicked him in his private parts. I was arrested for assaulting an officer, resisting arrest, and being out past curfew. I never touched him until he touched me, I wasn't being arrested when he touched me. Arrest wasn't brought up until after my kid and lunge. It was daytime at the time of the stop but it was night time before they let me call anyone.

In the meantime, there were other officers on the scene who were pissed about it and sided with me (I could overhear them talking) but they weren't going to go against a fellow officer. Long story short an attorney handled it. It basically all went away but I was told to never get pulled over by NOPD again. I never have to this day.

I am so, so sorry. That sounds horrible. I can't say I blame you for your distrust.

I think she's being sarcastic because of the UO thread.
As for your comment on technique/expertise level, I really don't think that's why I don't like oral. DH is great in bed and we have no problems there. Oral just skeeves me out and always has. Even with other partners it was a problem, so I've experienced various techniques.

Ohhh gotcha, I haven't read the other thread yet, I was confused LOL.

I'm glad so many posters' DHs seem to be so great at it, though!

I don't see you as inherently sad. I see a little bit of focusing on the negative or just being contrary but you don't strike me as unhappy. If anything I can see that you've struggled and come out stronger, and there's a confidence that comes from that. You're not one to jump up and down and do cartwheels of joy but you don't seem miserable at all.
There's a fine line between confidence and compensating for a lack of confidence. It can have the same symptoms...an IDGAF attitude. That can be good when you're happy and confident, or it can come off as a tad defensive. I have an impression with you it's a bit of both.

I have that impression in part because I can probably relate to it. My childhood wasn't miserable but it was weird. It took a lot of years to know who I am and feel confident about it. And there are still times when I realize that I think I'm being confident but I'm really being defensive.

You're a pretty common-sense person. There's nothing wrong with that. Don't think that I, for one, am sitting here thinking you're miserable and down. I don't. I just think you leave a lot of the context out at times and it makes it hard to see where you're coming from.

All that IC said. I like you. I dont think you tend to show a lot of emotion on TB and that can weird me out a bit but we all have different personalities.

Also, C has three Eeyores. We like Eeyore.
