Since I have diabetes, and for about 24 hours after birth you are "not diabetic", I am having red velvet cake! As much as I want! If that doesn't sound good, just anything with sugar or carbs

My food aversions went RIGHT away! No joke! I couldn't eat with DD cause I had horrible reflux. I could only do bland stuff. That cheeseburger after birth was amazing! Along with everything else. I seriously had no issues eating (and gaining back the weight I had lost during pregnancy! ha!)
Gluten Free Chinese or Pad Thai (my DH hates them so I don't get them often) and some chocolate because I know that I may have to go sugar free like I did with my last pregnancy.
After that I will just be happy if I get food from the hospital that doesn't taste like cardboard with being lactose intolerant and having celiacs.
"Straight from my Lactation Consultant AND Pediatrician: "Pump &
Dump" is a waste of time & effort. The alcohol will naturally
metabolize our of your system, breastmilk included... just as it does
your blood. The general rule is 2hrs per alcoholic beverage, if it's a
strong drink."
What wouldn't I want But mostly a huge plate of chinese food along with a bowl of captain crunch!!!! Seems like everyting gives me heartburn and Milk makes me sick.
Chorizo biscuits & gravy from Wild Eggs -- which is just a block away from the hospital. And, it's not that I don't already eat them, it's just that I can't get enough of them.
A very tall glass of beer to begin with. Chinese food like shrimp and fried rice. A very large chocolate cake. Coffee with Irish Bailey Cream. Cannot wait for April 29, 2013
we've already started stocking our wine racks with all kinds of wines (2 racks, each can hold 54 bottles), we've never been able to stock more than 15ish bottles...
Already told my husband he is to bring me Chick-fil-a ice cream and a frosty at the very minimum. Having GD I'm really missing the sweets right now! And once I get home I will have a small glass of either Stella Rosa, some kind of Moscato, and/or a red from Whole Foods I love...
After 18 hours of labor, over 24 hours without any food and, eventually, surgery, I was so desperate for food that I was begging my mom for banana pudding and my MIL for brownies. lol.
My first meal was a leftover chicken quesadilla with chips and salsa from my favorite mexican restaurant (that my mom had eaten for lunch and brought as a snack to the hospital where I confiscated it) almost 12 hours after my c/s. I was still on a liquid diet so all the hospital brought me for breakfast and lunch was juice and soup.
I enjoyed that meal more than I have ever enjoyed eating anything. lol.
Mom to two beautiful girls and forever labor buddy to the fab lady MandaPanda518!
My husband and I have already planned on having a date night at Ruth's Chris very soon after the baby is born. There I will be having a dirty martini with 3 olives and a filet mignon that is so rare, it could put up a good fight on my plate. I also want sushi, but my favorite sushi place is in Hawaii and we don't live there anymore.
I didn't plan any after-birth meal when I had DD and had whatever they were serving for lunch that day at the hospital. I probably don't remember it because I ate it so fast. After 3 days of labor with only 3 pieces of toast, I have never been hungrier in my life.
There is a local drive-in near my hospital that I might make a friend or family member go get me after birth this time!
You know you can eat Blue Cheese dressing now right?

There's honestly nothing I refrain from now that I don't normally (I don't really drink, eat unpasturized dairy products, etc).
Last time all I wanted after I delievered was fruit, so my IL's bought me an edible arrangement with assorted fruit and chocolate covered strawberries. *drools* Oh, and I wanted a huge glass of sweet tea.

My lactation consultant told me the same thing.
Oh I LOVE Moscato! I can't wait to delve back into being a wine diva! My husband makes wine for me so I have a whole cellar waiting for me!
