Question about crib bumpers...

So, as a FTM, I'm pretty clueless on this. Would this kind of bumper be acceptable? Or do you think this could still be a hazard?

Re: Question about crib bumpers...

  • They are supposed to be the "safe" bumpers. I just didn't have any bumpers, only things that happened was the occasional paci ending up on the floor.

Yep, this! We aren't using a bumper at all and neither did my sister with her 3 and no limbs were stuck, no pacis lost...all was well.

  • You really don't need bumpers. Pinky promise.

  • this is the kind i used (and loved) and always recommend to others.  my daughter was always a very active sleeper (which meant limbs everywhere).  I especially loved this kind because I could see her (through the bumper) without having to enter her room (waking or stirring her up).

  • We aren't using a bumper, even though it came with our bedding set. We are going to register for this instead:

  • I know some bumpers are supposed to be safe, but I"m going to avoid them altogether. They really serve no purpose, so what's the point of any sort of added risk?
