Just curious, how many ounces is or was your LO eating at one time at 8 weeks old?
No matter what, LO never takes more than 3 or 4 ounces at a time. Even if she's been sleeping for 5 hours, which is rare, that's all she'll eat. I feel like she would sleep longer and be happy longer if she would eat more. She's up every 2 or 3 hours almost every night. Maybe once a week I will get a 5 hour stretch from her. I have a pedi appointment next week and I'll see what he says...just wondering if this is common?
ETA she is FF. Not too much trouble with gas either, thank goodness. So she's not in pain or uncomfortable, just not interested in eating.

3-4 oz is a perfectly acceptable amount to eat. Honestly I would NOT try to force my baby to eat more than they are interested in eating. They know their limits and if you force it they are just likely to throw it up. I mean I suppose if you really wanted her to take more you could try to add in an extra half ounce and then slowly work your way up or something. But at this age their stomachs are still so tiny, and I think its important to respect that. Could you try a dream feed? If you are bottle feeding could you try and make sure she is eating every 2 hours during the day?
