I think that some (many?) of you may have gone through testing for HLA matching.
My first question is did your RE recommend it, or did you ask for it? What lab did you use? If you had a match, what is your strategy for dealing with it?
My situation: original RE did not consider it an important part of work up. After numerous disappointing cycles, we pursued it with a nationally known expert on our own. We were told by this expert that there was no matching problem. Now new RE is suggesting that there actually may be a matching problem after all! I am super frustrated.
Would appreciate any experiences you have had. TIA!

Well, according to some, matching is a potential problem, which can cause an abnormal immune system reaction to the embryo. In some opinions, it can cause miscarriage or even loss of undiagnosed pregnancy (= infertility).
I do have all the results and the doctors are interpreting them in opposite ways. Yes, the new RE knows about the previous expert opinion. They disagree.
