Trying to Get Pregnant

33day cycle, 14dpo CONFUSED!!

I just wrote out my whole post and i deleted it by accident, JOY.

well i'll just summerize, 33 day cycle 16 LP, 14 dpo right now, AF due wedensday.

 ive been having a few symptoms not many, today i had very light pink spotting still lasting until now but not enough to fill a pantie liner. I NEVER get spotting, when im to get my period it comes full on, heavy flow. Ive been having werid cramps lower belly area not sure what to make of this! Instead of driving hubby crazy i decided to come here lol! we were active the day before i ovulated.. Im just confused is it possible to have implantation bleeding this late? or is it normal early preg spotting or am i just going crazy and im not in fact pregnant, i just need to take a test i know i know but just rather wait until AF is actually due to test. Huh?

TIA , and btw stay safe with this weather!

  • I've never been pregnant but I hear that AF and preg symptoms are similar. But, being this close to your expected period, my guess is that it is AF coming. Just because you never spotted before doesn't mean it won't happen sometime, cycles are crazy like that. If no AF, then test. Good Luck.

  • Are you asking if it's possible to have implantation bleeding at 14dpo?

    Could you please spellcheck in the future? It hurts my brain to see so many misspelled words and not one capital i.

    I'm pretty sure you answered your own question. Only a test and time will tell.

  • It is really hard to say, but my best advice would be to tell you to test.  If you temp and are fairly certain that you are 14DPO, it is pretty likely that you would be able to turn a test at this point if you are actually KU.

    I never had spotting either, until I did. It's kind of frustrating when you realize that there really is no normal.  Most cycles now I start spotting about 1-2 days before AF, but sometimes I still don't spot at all.

    If I can be totally honest with you, I would doubt that it is implantation spotting at this point, and more likely the start of AF, but for your sake, FX that it is just early pregnancy symptoms.  GL!

    Sorry, I'm using my phone and being new to this fourm doesn't help so thanks. I was trying to reply back to someone who had said if my question was if you can have implantation bleeding this late.

    If you're temping and know for a fact you're 14dpo OPKs don't actually confirm ovulation, just show the surge that indicates you MIGHT ovulate, then take a test.nbsp;
    If you are pregnant enough for symptoms, you're pregnant enough to test positive.nbsp;
    Also PMS and pregnancy symptoms are pretty similar.nbsp;

    No I don't temp or use opk's, I just chart my periods every month and watch for the changes in cm. I know that's not accurate either. But thank you!

    I highly suggest you start tempting. CM doesnt confirm if or when you ovulated.

    I attempted to last cycle but come some mornings I forget, either my daughter wakes up and I run to get her or I run to the bathroom then realize I forget. I guess I'm SOL and just have to wait it out.

    I really don't see why you can't just test with a cheapie...

    Also, seeing as how you don't actually chart, you do not know how many DPO you are.

    I don't chart or temp either but most women on this board do, so they will wonder how do you know that you're 14dpo if you aren't for certain when or if you ovulated.

    To answer your question, implantation bleeding usually occurs around 10dpo give or take. (I think) Maybe since the other ladies know what you are asking, they may know better. I just started TTC and I'm 5 days before my period would normally be due and every little thing I feel I'm thinking "Am I pregnant?" I get how you feel.I'm a more wait to AF comes. I don't test. Good luck.

    Well the reason why I haven't tested is because I haven't really had the time to grab one, and the reason why I say how many dpo I am cause when I put in my info on mycountdowntopregnancy.com it says when to test ect. And it says how many dpo you are.
  • I always find it weird when "newbies" know acronyms like dpo, LP, but don't know when to take a test.  If you're educated enough to know your average LP and how many DPOs you are, you should know that you can take a test at 14dpo.

    Does mycountdowntopregnancy.com tell you that you can test now?  Then do.  And really, you can test any time you want to.  You can even test on CD2.  It'd be meaningless, but you can pee anytime you want to.  Most spotting at true 14 dpo is the beginning of AF, but you only know after the fact.

    You're right.  We all had questions at the beginning.  But unfortunately, a post like this one gets posted, in some form, several times a day.  You didn't ask if you were pregnant, but you did say you were 14dpo, which you can't know for sure without temping.  Those websites only use averages and don't take into consideration your personal ovulation schedule.

    If you really think you might be pregnant, you'll need to take a test.  If it's negative, keep testing once a week until AF shows or you hit 60 days.  Good luck.

    I already commented, but I just wanted to agree with those that said that those period tracker sites are crap.  I have very regular cycles, (28-31 days), but I typically ovulate around CD17-18. If I would have timed sex based on those calendars, I would have been way off. If you have any questions about charting, this is a good board to ask them.

    Personally I would go with a BBT thermometer.  Or at least one that measures to the 1/00 degree (two decimal places).  Most places have one in the family planning section.  I got mine at CVS.

    Yes, since you're so close to it.  You can really start anytime, but CD1 is a natural time to start when you're so far into your cycle.

    You would normally use a BBT. I use the Mabis from Walmart, most of the women on the board use the same one.

    Start temping on CD1. Fertility Friend will teach you how.

    I also use the Mabis from Walmart.  It was only like $8-$9.  I don't recommend the one from Walgreens, it favors temps.  I originally started with that one and switched to the Mabis, it's much better.

    It has certain temps that it keeps as a "favorite" and will use over and over again.  I got 97.18 a lot and when I went online to look at the reviews because I started getting suspicious a lot of people gave it bad reviews and talked about it using the same times "favorite" temps, some were the same ones I always got.  Now that I use the Mabis I don't get that, it seems more accurate to me.

    ETA: For some people they said they could still see their trend so it didn't bother them but I felt like it messed with my chart.
