I think it is because the crib is so cold. At least in our situation, that is why. I tuck a blanket around the mattress and he will sleep fine. Though, we do bed share too. It depends on the night.
My Lo will sleep through the night in his crib, but on his tummy. Honestly, I think it's that usually it's the only place they sleep flat on their back and that is why.
5 hours is considered sttn for babies so he IS sttn.. just not as long as you'd like lol. Consider yourself lucky. At 8 weeks, my LO is only sleeping 3 to 4 hours at a time

From everything I've been told sleeping for a 6 hour stretch is considered sleeping through the night. But if there is a big difference for you, maybe check the temperature?
Re: Why does sleeping in the crib
I think 6 hours at 2 months old is awesome! Especially since he's ebf.
Woah. Wait a minute here, your EBF baby gives you 6-10 hour stretches?? Mine has given my 3 hours and 45 minutes tops- no matter where he is
You are a lucky mama!
