Mine is Halloween themed!

I think I'm the only person in the world who doesn't like Tim Burton films. Edward Scissorhands is ok but I don't think he's some visionary/ground breaking director/screenwriter.

I hate horror films/TV shows and I can't wait for Halloween to be over so I don't have to see any more stupid commercials for them.

I have no problem going to a sit down restaurant or movie by myself. DH thinks it is the weirdest thing ever and won't even sit down at a fast food restaurant without another person. If I am out running errands and want to eat something other than fast food, I don't see why I should avoid it just because no one else is with me.

I hate when ppl use boy names for girls... I wouldn't want my son to have the same name as a girl...and boy names are so limited then

I agree. So many good boy names have been ruined by people using them on girls.

I also want someone to look at my child's name and know their sex.

I agree. So many good boy names have been ruined by people using them on girls.

I also want someone to look at my child's name and know their sex.

I'm also not a fan of unisex names. Pick one or the other!

Totally agree with you. The only Tim Burton movie I ever really loved was Sweeny Todd, and that was probably only because the musical was fantastic source material.

I actually hate Halloween. Maybe my attitude will change when I have kids, but for adults I think it's an extremely stupid holiday. Stress about what to dress up as, spend $ for something you are only going to wear one night, an excuse for women to dress slutty.. I just hate all of it.

One time when some stranger rubs my belly and asks me "when are you due" I would like to respond with "what are you talking about?" I just think it would be funny to see the look on their face. I know, not nice, but whatever.

I also hate Halloween. The last time I dressed up I was 21 and I do not miss it at all.

I agree. The only people seeing my bare belly are DH and medical staff. It really really bothers me when people put them on FB.

I am not a fan of Savannah Guthrie on the Today Show. I miss Meredith Viera. As much as I liked Anne Curry she wasn't a good co-host and they made the right call transferring her (really firing her) to in depth interviews.

Katie Couric & Kelly Ripa are like nails on a chalkboard annoying to me.

I don't believe in the saying there is no such thing as an ugly baby. I have definitely seen some ugly babies. Especially as newborns. I think most newborns are kind of funny looking.

I agree! Unless its a name that is truly unisex. I have always liked the name Avery for a boy and plan on naming our baby that if it its a boy. Avery started out as a boys name way back when and it irritates me that its becoming such a popular girls name. I mean, to each is own I guess but I keep thinking my son is going to be one of 3 Averys in a class but the only boy, lol.

I have always thought this, lol!! I am sure its beautiful to the parents, as mine will be too ugly or not. But they can be quite odd looking at times.

Yes! My choir director in high school had a baby, and I swear he was the ugliest baby I've ever seen. I really wanted to think he was cute, but he just looked like Gollum, poor thing. He grew into himself at around 2, and his parents were each attractive in their own right, but the combo just took awhile to settle, I guess.

LOL I guess my UO is that I like more unisex type names. Our daughter is Ryleigh which can be girl or boy (spelled Riley for boy of course.) And DD's name is going to be Britton which is according to babynames.com a boys name.

My thought is that my own name (Ashleigh) was once a name only used for males as Ashley. Think Gone with the Wind. So this is not a new trend but something that has always been around.

Maybe if I had boys I would feel differently? Although our boy name was Cade Christopher so nothing girly there.

I think we are doing our kids a disservice by saying they can be whatever they want to be. People are going to college, getting degrees in literature or other liberal arts and think they should get 6 figure salaries and a guaranteed job when they graduate. We have too many people trying to get white collar jobs and not enough younger people willing to work blue collar jobs. Some blue collar jobs pay really well and there are shortages in certain fields.

Completely agree. My older brother graduated from honors college at one of the top universities in the nation with a technology related degree and 8 years later he still hasn't landed job that uses his degree and pays well. DH and I have actually both put our degrees on an indefinite hold because we know that neither of us would be able to get a job that uses them and we can't afford to put ourselves further in debt for something we can't use. Unfortunately I feel like the generation that graduated from college recently is going to be the most screwed in this economy. They are getting degrees that they can't use so most of them will suck it up and go to work in a different field. When the economy turns around companies will look for recent graduates and people with experience in the field which will rule out the people I mentioned.

If you told me 5 years ago...heck even 2 or 3 years ago, that I would be a SAHW praising my husband for landing a new blue collar job, I would have laughed in your face. But honestly I am very happy with my life and I am so proud of my husband for doing what it takes to take care of our family.

I really don't see the point in taking a newborn and little babies out trick-or-treating. Toddlers, okay, I see the fun for them. But if I see a baby passed out in a stroller (no matter how cute they look in a costume) and the only one with him/her is the mom, I know who the candy is really for.

Yep. I have a degree that I can't use, yay! I'm glad my parents "believed" in me and all, but I wish they had tried a little harder to encourage me to do one of the other, more lucrative things I had been thinking about.

Similarly, the whole "you're special" and "everyone gets a trophy because all that matters is that you tried" thing totally screws kids over. They get into a REAL job or just get into their adult life and find out that it's not true. Yeah, you're an individual and I guess that makes everyone "special", but I think "special" has become a euphamism for "entitled". And sometimes you don't get a trophy. You fail. It's okay, but you have to learn to pick yourself up.

AND, being really smart and doing well in school is not a guarantee of having an easy life. DH is really good about trying to teach his kids about how being nice to people pays off, and how it really is good to know your manners (kids complained about the fact that there are rules about which fork to use first, where things are set on table, etc) because you never know what you'll be doing someday and if you look like a fool, no one cares that you got straight A's in middle school.

Oh, so many more things...but that's enough things for now.

I don't understand adults who REALLY like Disney (Disney World, Disney Land, Mickey Mouse, etc). In fact, I think they are a bit strange.

I get being excited about taking your children to Disney World, but there is no way in Hell that H and I would every go there before children. FTR, we went every year growing up, I understand that it is fun.

I wanted Avery and DH refused to consider it b/c it's a girl name for him now. As a future boy mom, I now officially hate that people have appropriated the few good boy names for girls. This naming decision has been torture.

I had someone act like I was a horrible parent because I didn't take my (then) 8 month old trick or treating.

I really want to yell out "sorry about your manhood!" any time I see someone with tires larger than the truck or those stupid bull ball things hanging off the hitch. Klassy.

I guess my UO which I was just talking about because of the upcoming election is that marijuana should be legalized. It was on the ballot in my state this election and I definitely voted for it. It is so easy to get a "red card" anyways, that it is practically legal already. In CO there are dispensaries on almost every corner in some parts of town.

I agree. I'm in school to be a Drug Addiction counselor and I don't see weed as a big deal at all. I don't smoke it but I don't care if people do. When it becomes top priority (just like any other habit or activity) and starts taking over your life then I have an issues with it.

I am not a fan of the pics where people post their pregnancy announcements with their dog about gaining a sibling or being an only child. You know the ones where the dog is wearing a shirt that says, "Big sister" or something like that. I understand that people have "fur babies", but I don't think they should be equal to human children. I am saying this as a dog owner.

dh and i too are weird i guess...we got engaged there, celebrated our first anniv there and just went on our babymoon there...we would go every year if we could afford it.....

I actually haven't been, well, my parents took me when I was one but that hardly counts... but if I had the money I would go alllll the time. That would've been our honeymoon if I had more time off than just three days. I'm a big disney girl and I would love to spend some time there.
