Good Morning,
I will be 36 weeks on Sunday and I am so thankful that I was able to keep these babies cooking so long. I have my c-section scheduled for 37w5d and now that I am getting so close, I am driving myself crazy with wondering whether I will make it or not. My OB seems to think I will go into labor before the scheduled c/s.
I am just wondering if those of you that went into labor on your own had any warning/signs that it was coming. Did your water just break out of nowhere? Or were there any symptoms you had that gave you a clue that it was coming? I am over-analyzing every little ache and pain that I have.
Thanks in advance!
Re: If you went into labor before your scheduled c-section/induction..
That night my stomach hurt, and the best way I could describe it is it felt like someone slipped a bunch of laxatives into my dinner. Like a painful cramping.
The next morning I had contractions that felt like period cramps that were timeable, and so we called and went to the hospital. Sure enough, I was in labor!
I also had no warning signs. I went in for my regular weekly check and was "crampy". I told my doc and she made a face (not good!) when I told her. I was a 4 with a bulging bag and had my girls 2 and 1/2 hours later. I was contracting every 2-3 minutes at the hospital and barely felt anything. The nurses were amazed! Haha!
It can't hurt to check! And congrats on getting to 36 weeks! I wish I had made it that far!

Our perfect baby boys were born at 36w1d!!
I didn't have a single clue. In fact, I woke up about 10 min before my water broke and then went back to sleep. I only woke up again because I was feeling wet and squishy and couldn't figure out why. I got up out of bed and it just wouldn't stop. lol
I made it to 35w5d with a scheduled c-section at 37w1d.
That was me. My water broke out of NOWHERE (I was reaching for a dog toy!) with no warning signs at all. I hadn't gone to L&D before and hadn't had any complications since a couple rough patches in the first tri. I'd been at the doctor the day before for U/S and NST with NO SIGNS of labor. It really could happen any time. Good luck!
